Lol you want some cap gate.. do some research on how Kraft is paying Tom Brady under the table. That's the true cap gate.

Thanks for being a party pooper on my joke.

And again in a new thread derailment, do you honestly think no one pays these players under the table? That would be like thinking college players dont get paid. What a crazy idea.

If the Seahawks win this Superbowl, they are the new targets. Haters from everywhere will find 100 excuses why their team wins and others lose.

All teams bend the rules, anyone who thinks differently isnt living in the real world.

you think Elway doesnt pay Peyton under the table? Keep on dreaming.

Thanks for messing up the funny.

Anyway im all about getting Kam Chancellor, Torrey Smith and Eddie Royal here.

If we draft a monster DE then great.

Early put on a little weight since he's been in the league. He can still add some more muscle. Strahan's playing weight was 255, and Luke just said in his most recent interview that he is 235 (and 250 lbs is pretty much the ideal weight). Of course every player is different, so weight is not the most important issue for these guys.

Seems like we have always had a smallish MLB here--Mills. Morgan, Beason, now Kuechly.  I hope Luke holds up better than Morgan/Beason.

Had our MLBs stayed healthy, we would have a better history at that position than the Bears. (nearly, anyways)

Can someone clarify the Kam Chancellor FA talk on here.  The research I've done, shows him locked up in Seattle until '18.  Did I miss something about his contract that would allow him to hit free agency this offseason?

He's not a FA.

No clue where people are getting this from haha

Looks like you are right.  He signed a contract extension for 5 years before Sherman and Thomas.  I was reacting to another comment I assumed was valid.

If so, the only contract issue they have this offseason is James Carpenter (OG).  If they sign Russell WIlson to a deal that gives him $25m per season, they would be sitting at about $145m as a cap figure.

What to do with Lynch? I am hearing that this is his contract year, but the websites I visit show that he has another year on his deal. I can't figure this stuff out.   Was the last year voidable?

In 2016, Wilson and Okung (LT) need new deals.  For a good LT and a good QB, we are talking close to $40m. --that is probably why they are extending Wilson this season.

Cutting Lynch would save them $7 mil in cap. They have 2 solid RBs behind him (Turbin and Michael). Rumors that they will part ways but they could probably make it work one more year if they wanted.

No worries MHS, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going loco.  :dw:

    • re: PFF having Bryce Young as the best deep passer in week 12 Link to original article Excerpt from the article: PFF's passing-by-depth report for week 12 NFL Pro's Film Room Play 1 - Completion to XL running a deep crosser despite multiple penalties by KC on the play Film Room Playlist NFL Pro.mp4 Play 2 - Completion to JT with the pass rush closing in Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Play 3 - Hits David Moore in the hands while taking a shot from new Panthers' DL Ter'shawn Wharton for what would've been a TD Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-02.mp4 Play 4 - This is the first play that folks could attempt to pin on Bryce if not for one detail... this was 3rd & 10 with 9sec left in Q2 (as seen in the screenshot showing the list of plays). Bryce had to air mail it out of the back of the end zone so that there was still time to attempt a field goal before halftime. Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-03.mp4 Play 5 - Bryce places this ball where only David Moore can get it (spoiler: Moore does not get it). I've included the other angle as I was confident that some would try to hyperfocus on this play as why PFF was wrong in their evaluation.
