Our next LT may not already be on the team, but...

He had surgery for a knee injury in April of 2013.  From what I know, he's just never been quite the same.

Could be more to it than that but I'd guess that's probably a lot of it.

Just from our own experiences, that sounds like microfracture surgery. If it is, stay the hell away from him. Long-time Panther fans know all about the fun we've had with our players who had microfracture surgery.

If you trade for matt, you also need to workout a new contract. I believe he getting like 4+ million and its only for one year....... that's not going to work given his play. Viking are in a tough spot, trying to get a return on 4th overall pick thats playing like a UDFA bell...... it wouldn't surprise me if he has a awful TC, he's cut. Or why brother if the viking are asking 3rd, just wait one year and sign him on the cheap.

How about this--Our next LT IS on the team.

Remmers is built to be more of a LT than a RT. He was a LT at ORE ST.   If we don't get the LT early in the draft, it makes sense to draft a RT and possibly move Remmers to the LT spot.

Before you laugh, consider the fact that he is a good pass blocker, weak run blocker at RT.  Now consider our system, what Gross did for us (finesse LT) and consider what he would face on the left side--it should make him average in pass protection and decent in run blocking--an upgrade.  At RT, if we get a pass protector who can run block better than Remmers, we upgrade 2 positions with one addition.

A lot of the time, putting brothers together is not such a good idea.  Ryan directing young guns he is not related to is hard enough, can you imagine your brother telling you what to do?  Sounds like a headache that Ryan doesn't need, he already has enough on his plate.

    • You're saying the same thing as I said.  Until Jordan becomes an active part of recruiting and funding, this school will continue to fall way behind.  But to say Michael Jordan or the Jordan brand doesn't matter anymore, which is what you said, is flat out wrong.
    • I have not learnt my lesson and will always want Uber athletic profiles. Sorry, Im a whore about it.... Im not the right guy to defend Kenyon, I just have a understanding with this years draft, numbers, and panthers roster. He is more of "upside/project" and we are talking 19th pick here too.  I know about the years of all the mock drafts with TEs in them and I did want Pitts too.... Look I love the current TEs on the roster too, just this guy should be better than any of them at their best.  Right now I feel OT is the correct target, but panthers as a org are trying to win in 2026 than 2027. So tea leaves and all, Kenyon would help this year. You can even say flex him to slot for most of the snaps and think of tmac on smoke routes with Kenyon blocking for him. I just hate BY is the shooter..... warren, I would say he's the better prospect even without his rookie year, *but he was late bloomer like XL if Im right, plus age was 25ish?? Bears picked love above him, mainly cause of recs.  You can make a case that Kenyon is not a TE, but a moving weapon for offense that can be in the backfield, on the LOS, slot, and even X.... imean he's got XLs combine on some numbers.... He would be better to a offense mad scientist type...is that Dave? or is that bevell?? I think the Panthers should have him as a 19 pick, with others...
    • That's one of the best power play games I've seen us have in a while.
