PFT points out a glaring fact about the fastest combine receivers

would y'all be happy drafting a #2 receiver with our first round pick? I don't know if I'm down with that. he's gonna end up being a possession receiver, of which we already have 3 of those.

philly can go long but I tgenk Eddie Royal and Ted Ginn are just as fast and can return kicks.

regardless, this is gonna be a stressful offseason weighing pros and cons of who to draft.

If we draft a receiver in Round One, I think it can be pretty well guaranteed that it won't be a possession type.

There is a HUGE difference between football speed and track speed.

WRs get jammed at the line, rarely are they going to have a straight line to run 40 - 60 yards without any resistance. This is why quickness is a huge factor and ultimately strength. The best WRS in the game are mostly big, physical guys that have good speed. Not elite speed unless we're talking about CJ and Dez.

A lot of these guys have the technique down to run the 40 as best as possible. Others are faster than their 40 time would suggest. Once you put the pads on and take a hit, all that poo goes out the window.

What are you talking about?  A #2 WR doesn't have to automatically be a possession type guy.  Ideally, I'd rather pair KB with a speedier guy.

I'm just speaking, based on the talent that will be available to us at 25 is not gonna be a speed guy with good hands. there might be three or four of those types of guys in this draft and I doubt they'll be available to us at #25.
