College football fan challenge: Post your school's draft/UDFA prospects

What have you seen that makes you think this?

He's got decent speed, but not BURNER speed.  Good hands, but he played in a pass happy offense at ECU (Lincoln Riley).  He can also return punts and kicks which could be what makes him a 4th-7th round pick at best.  We shall see though.

THE ||_|| (With round projections)

OT Ereck Flowers - Mid First (dudes a beast!)

TE Clive Walford - Second (Beast)

OLB/ILB Denzel Perryman - Second (Beast)

RB Duke Johnson - Third (1st rnd talent)

WR Phillip Dorsett - Fifth (speedster)(5'10" 195)(4.33 40)

CB Ladarius Gunter - Fifth

G Jon Feliciano - Sixth

This. It's all about The U. Although I think Feliciano may go higher (but not crazy higher) as he impressed in workouts...or so I hear.

But hurt from all the times Hardy destroyed UNC's DBs whether it was through receiving or blocking.

Nope, absolutely don't give a two shits about that.  Destroying the worst defense in college football the past two-three years means nothing to me.  However, how about that UCF game?

Also, I'm an Oklahoma fan.  I graduated from there in 2014.  Thank you for playing.

Perception through assumption, I thought you would be a tarhole fan, my b. At least your football program is trending up, ECU will be lucky to have a winning record this coming year.

I was, and still pay attention to them.  But, once you start paying tuition at a school.  You tend to want to pull for them.  That's just my two sense.

Not the biggest fan of The University of Houston, but as I am attending school here, I figured I would add to the convo.

Joey Mbu DT

Joey is a 6'3", 313 pound DT who is known for outworking his competition.  The kid has a constant motor running and is very instinctual at stopping the run.  He is very quick for his size, but doesn't apply much pressure in the passing game (likely because the rest of Houston's D-line is forgettable).  He likely gets drafted in the later rounds, 5th or 6th.

Deontay Greenberry  WR  6'3" 198

Greenberry is a very interesting project at WR.  He was highly recruited out of Highschool (5-star) and looked sure to sign with Notre Dame before changing his mind at the last minute and heading to Houston.  He was Houston's highest rated recruit in school history.   He put up impressive numbers, though never fully developed his skillset (1200+ yards and 12 TDs his sophomore year).  He was atrocious at blocking, and at times, seemed to drop very easy catches.  He was snubbed from attending the Combine as well.  The kid needs coaching, and is likely a year away from contributing, but he has a very high ceiling.   He is likely a 6th or 7th round pick.

Notable UDFA's

DE Trevor Harris

OG Rowdy Harper (undersized)

C Bryce Redman (undersized)

EAST CAROLINA UNIVERSITY

Justin Hardy - WR - 6'0" 185lbs

NCAA All-Time leader for career receptions.  He has the best hands I've ever seen on a receiver at ECU.  I think I maybe saw him drop 2 catchable balls this season.  I have never seen a guy with more circus catches than Hardy.  He did the "Odell Beckham Jr" a month before Odell did it.  He has ridiculous quickness off the line, and more than makes up for his lack of top end speed.  I think he clocked in at a 4.5 at the combine.  So, he's fast, but he much quicker than he is fast.  He would be an ideal slot receiver, and will have a good career in the NFL.

Shane Carden - QB - 6'2" 220lbs

A winner.  Plain and simple.  He's got leadership out the wazoo.  His mechanics are a little iffy, and I'll be the first person to admit that.  He has a Phillip Rivers type throwing motion, but it worked out for RIvers, so why not Shane?  He's got good pocket presence, was constantly avoiding pressure with our crappy OL, and was great at improvising when throwing on the run.  He doesn't have the BEST deep ball I've ever seen, but he threw his fair share.  He'll be a good backup, and I think he could be an average starter.

2012 - 273 of 413, 3,116 Yards, 23 TD's, 10 INT's

2013 - 387 of 549, 4,139 Yards, 33 TD's, 10 INT's  (10 Rushing TD's)

2014 - 392 of 617, 4,736 Yards, 30 TD's, 10 INT's

Cam Worthy - WR - 6'3" 220lbs

He was our deep threat all season.  Virginia Tech fans will remember the numerous long bombs he caught in ECU's win in Blacksburg this year.  He is a 9-route guy, all the way.  Throw it deep, and his big body will go up and get it.  He was invited to the combine, but I don't see any stats from it.  Not sure what happened.

Terry Williams - DT - 6'1" 353lbs

"The Swamp Monster" was his nickname during his time in Greenville.  At 353lbs, he still clocks in at a 5.0 40 yard dash.  Most ESPN analysts said that they'd never seen a guy that big move that fast during games.  He takes on 2-3 blockers on average, and was a nightmare for opposing offenses.

I have friends in ECU athletics/the Athletic department. Apparently Carden is a super douche. Don't want him on the team and he has no arm strength. System QB.

I'd GLADLY take either Hardy or williams though. Hardy especially.

I could see Carden being a starter in a Chip Kelly offense, that's about it. Otherwise he will probably be a backup.

Not concerned with him being a douche. Lots of athletes are douches.

Probably only Tim Scott (CB/FS) and Norkeithus Otis (OLB) for UNC.  Both likely undrafted free agents IMO.

If we can land Norkeithus Otis as a UDFA I'd be happy. Needs to work on his coverage skills and if anything he would be a good backup/ST player

I'm talking like, exceptionally douchey. Abusive to his GF kind of douchey and because he plays QB at ECU he thinks he's entitled to act that way kind of douchey.

And I take that to heart because the people I hear it from are super nice and get along with everyone... but Carden.
