Eagles and Bills: Major Trade

Mark S

Recommended Posts

The Buffalo Bills have agreed to trade LB Kiko Alonso in exchange for RB Lesean McCoy.

Wow. I did not see that one coming. This trade could end up working great for the Bills if they get the Lesean McCoy of two years ago.

The trade could turn out well for the Eagles if they think McCoy is done(which I don't think to be true) but they got a pretty good LB out of Alonso.

Trades don't usually happen in the NFL, especially like this one so this is coming as a shock. It'll certainly be interesting to see which side this trade ends up favoring.

good cap move, traded a player at the end of his career for a player at the beginning of one. took balls and a swallowing of emotional attachment to pull off.

in other words, a solid football move by a good front office.

    • Well sure, but if you're in NC, you would get them through a basic cable package.  And if you're not in the local area, then the cost would be fair because it's comparable to needing to go to a bar to watch every week. I'll also put it this way... Of all the subscriptions I have to pay for these days (and it's way too many), it's really one of only two that I feel are a fair price that I don't mind paying, the rest are all way too high. Side note... the other is for AMC's A-List, by far the best deal in entertainment (at least if you love the movie theater experience like myself).  $20 a month and can see up to 4 movies a week, 2 movies a month and you're making money on it compared to buying them individually.  I passed my break even point for the year in June, so will get 6+ months of "free" movies through the end of the year.
    • The NFL averages 2.2 million viewers per PRESEASON game, the HOF game had 6.9 million viewers. The NBA Finals averaged 10.3 million viewers for the Finals and 4.5 million across the playoffs overall. They aren't even comparable, the NFL makes twice as much money a year as the NBA does, of course the TV packages are going to be very different.  Also, tons of fans will watch as many NFL games as possible (mainly because of Fantasy), but not a whole lot of them are going to be watching random NBA games every single night, at least not in comparison to with the NFL.
