Seattle to trade DE Michael Bennett to Atlanta?

Not to mention that they should have won all three.

All anyone remembers is the SB. But in 2013 they not only were lucky to beat us (the fumble), but needed d@mn near miracles to beat the worst team in football (Texans) in OT, the worst team in the south (Bucs) in OT, and the worst team in the west (Rams).

You're starting to sound too salty.

Yeah, and we were lucky that the refs didn't call that Pass intereference on Luke (which was obvious), we were lucky on that 4 and 11 against the Dolphins, we needed a miracle to beat the Saints, we got lucky the 49ers didn't have Crabtree and Davis got injured in that game, we got lucky against the Falcons when they bobbled the snap, yada yada yada.

See, I can do that too. Those arguments never work. They won the superbowl easily and should have won this years. Stop being so damn salty.

i don't think you understood what i meant

in 2011 they were six years removed from a super bowl appearance. that year capped off a run of four straight losing seasons. they won the west and a playoff game in 2010, a year when they had a losing record which, as we all know, means it doesn't count.

now, i ask you, what do you think seattle's fans were talking about or thinking in 2011.

They probably sounded much like ours.

I don't like them, just saying by any objective measure they were/are not even remotely close to a juggernaut like even the 2007 Patriots who didn't win it all. Saying they can do no wrong not only makes me wanna puke, but is flat out wrong.

Most teams have ups and downs, and when you have an "up period" if you are able I wholeheartedly agree to do everything to try to win a ring.  Seattle is having their "up period" right now.  They should be going all in, same with Denver, NO, and in a couple years SD, Giants, and Steelers.

We have had a long down period, and I think that we are doing the right things to get our window over the next 4-5 years, then I'm all for going all in on some questionable guys, and free agents.  Those guys can get you over the hump.  But we aren't there yet.

Teams like New England, with their sustained success is honestly a marvel to me, but I have to take my hat off to them.

yeah that's what i meant

my post seems kind of confrontational and douchey reading it back now and i didn't mean for it to sound that way.  with the way gettleman has been drafting i don't think we're really in substantially different shape than seattle was prior to 2012.  of course the outcome may ultimately be different but that's just how things go.

Sounds like a law firm.

After Dallas signs Hardy they're gonna be left with a disgruntled player who wants more money. Lynch wanted more money, now Bennett. Who's next? All those guys aren't gonna sit around happy and jolly playing for peanuts forever. It's already happening. And they still have to pay Wilson. His salary is getting ready to jump from $2m to $20m.

Seattle's window is gonna close faster than people think.

Who cares? The window opened and they rocketed through it, isn't that the point?

Hey guys after two Super Bowls and one ring, their window is closing bahahaha sucks for them!

Right. Give me just one ducking ring I'll die a happy Panther fan.

Not that easy. WHEN we win our first, I will enjoy immensely but look forward to more. Same as any other team that's ever won, and there have been 49 of them.

    • I personally think you are trying to talk yourself into circles here... It's ok to say Bryce played incredible the last 5 weeks... I know there are plenty of people on this board who desperately need the doom-and-gloom narrative, but I genuinely question how much NFL QB play some of these people really have watched when they still question him being the unquestioned starter for next year...  Again, that being said, no one is crowning him at all. I think Bryce is one of the best stories going into 2025 bc his season last year was so outlandishly unprecedented. It's totally fair to personally not believe in Bryce. Plenty of sports "journalists" need to write stories, and that's an easy narrative path... But I think that actual people in the know rank Bryce much higher. That's the fun thing about sports... we shall see!
    • Regardless of how we got here, any rational fan should be excited by how well Bryce played down the stretch. Anyone not happy about that level of play either doesn't know what they're looking at, or they're still trying to drive tired narratives. Obviously, Cam had an all-time rookie season, and I'm not putting the two in the same basket yet, but as someone who has watched every snap of Panthers football since the start of the new millennium (Im old), Bryce was playing at a higher level at the end of 2024 than Cam was at the end of 2012 (his 2nd season). Cam continued to develop into MVP form, something Bryce has to prove, but as someone who watched both (and will stan for Cam always), Bryce was playing at a higher level to end year 2 than Cam did.  Go watch the film if you dont believe me. None of that means anything for the future. But the people who said BY9 couldnt play in this league are wrong.   That being said, the only thing that matters is this year. #20 is perfectly fair IMO going into the season. I mean think about it, how would you rank him??!  His in-season turnaround is one of the wildest things I've ever seen... how do you rank a guy who looked like a massive bust in September and by January was consistently playing at a top 10 level? My excitement level is pretty damn high heading into this season. There were throws from the Chiefs game onward where Bryce had Drew Brees levels of anticipation. Im excited to see what he can do with a full deck on offense, something we really never gave Cam. Really hope and expect Bryce to move up this list this season.
    • Not really, the only QB's (other than Anthony Richardson) ranked below him are new to their teams as a placeholder starter or drafted in 2024 or 2025, not a lot of gymnastics to get there. It's not about how many that is, if it's 20, 12, or 2... It means there isn't a QB who's team has committed to them for the long term right now that they have ranked below Bryce. That's not a great thing.
