Klitschko-Jennings

Anybody watching? I'm at MSG right now pulling for Jennings, Philly kid, underdog story kind of like a real life Rocky. First heavyweight championship fight in the States in 7 years. Hope we can bring it home.

Klitschko got a lot more competition than I expected. Jennings made it fairly close but just couldn't get it done on the scorecard. Honestly think Jennings hurt Klitschko more but didn't land enough points to get the decision. Can't wait for Wilder to get his shot.

Watching. Boxing is SO boring. They need to take more points away for holding. All this crap is is jab-jab-clinch, jab-jab-clinch, swing-jab-clinch, clinch-clinch-jab. I know they're heavyweights but come ON, man.

Go watch UFC or WWE then.

I do watch UFC. And big event boxing. Doesn't mean I can't find it dull when the big lugs hug all day. I do not expect that next Saturday though.

That's how Wlad fights. Jab and clinch. That's why I want Wilder to knock his ass out. And he will. Don't expect a KO on the 2nd. Mayweather will fight textbook and win on points most likely. I'm not expecting much from that fight but put a couple hundred on Pac winning by KO since the odds are favorable.

I don't understand how she continues to root for my rival.

Maybe because you're not 6'6" 240 pounds of solid Ukrainian, money-making machine packing a Russian love rocket she so desperately wants and deserves?

By the way, couldn't find any pics of her at the fight, but while the colors of her ensemble were very nice for her, the overall outfit was almost 80's looking... wasn't a fan....

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
