David Newton has hunch, WR (or RB) in the first (a "WR in the 1st" feel good thread)

top dawg

Rivera also said he wanted to get a 2nd RB 8-10 carries. So the math doesn't really check out when you factor in Cam's running although I'm sure they would like to dial those back some. 30 rushes per game or 480 total will be about right. I think the per game distribution will be more like 12 for Stewart, 8 for RB2, 5 for Cam, 5 for Tolbert. RB3(Fozzy/Todman) will get some 3rd down snaps but no carries unless there is an injury.

If we are going WR (excluding White, Cooper and Parker), it better be DORIAL or Agholor.

Maybe, Perriman. I can live with. And Funchess.

Don't like Smith or Strong enough at 25. And don't believe Dorsett is a 1st rounder.

Funchess? At 25?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Not a fan of Agholor. Idk if I'm just scarred by the USC guys or what but I can't remember the last USC receiver to be any good. Woods is ok..who else?

Marqise Lee was good when healthy last year.

Steve Smith was great with the Giants for a couple years before injuries sidetracked his career.

He's a lesser version of Kelvin. Not at all what this team needs.

<shrugs> he is moving up the boards for a reason.  Don't get why it is so hilarious.

Boards, Picked Inside Top 20

In Todd McShay’s most recent NFL Mock Draft, he has former Michigan WR Devin Funchess moving up in the first-round. Funchess, who left Michigan after his Junior season, was 26th in the previous edition. Now, McShay has the 6-foot-4 WR going No. 19 to the Cleveland Browns.

Eh....I think both ESPN guys are blowhards personally. Wouldn't put a ton of stock in any board they put out. Would be shocked if Funchess was taken in the first. Too many talented pass catchers to waste a first on a TE who doesn't want to play TE.

I thinks McShay actually dropped him out of first round after poor combine but he is scratching back with a good to great pro day.

He's still a solid second rounder for somebody in a deep WR class so just meant it wasn't "hilarious" to throw his name in the pot.

Having a KB clone at #2 will create a ton of mismatches.

That tweet looks like it is from February 5th. A lot has changed since then. Including Funchess running a 4.7 or something like that.

yes, saw that after posting.  this is from March 15th after his pro day by Gil Brandt.  Watch out for the names you don't hear leading up to the draft, they are the one's usually moving up.

Devin Funchess (6-foot-4 1/4, 232 pounds) ran much better than he did at the combine, posting 40 times of 4.47 and 4.53 seconds. When asked why he ran so much better, he explained that he had been up late to do interviews at the combine and was just plain tired when he ran. Funchess also posted a 4.48 short shuttle and 6.98 3-cone drill. He had one drop in his workout, but showed he's a very good athlete and smooth in his routes. He's got a chance to be drafted in the bottom of the first round, but most likely will be a second-round pick.
