NFL Free Agent Collins Cleared as Suspect

True when Gettlemen is mum on a subject that is when you know work is being put in behind the scenes and he was quite mum about Collins.

I'm 10-15 minutes outside of Baltimore, but I'm not sure if I'm the kind of company you normally keep. I'm a little wet behind the years and just turned 21 in January. Though I would love to see more Panthers games live than I currently do which is held to prime time games mostly.

21 is old enough for me...wait...that didn't sound right. I'm going to try and find a bar that will cooperate this season and see how many people I can get to come and watch the games together. If we get enough participation bars will compete for our business (within reason) and discounts follow etc. That bar would host Panther fans for games against the Ravens etc. I'm excited but it's hard to guage interest. We shall see. Watching games with fellow fans is ALWAYS better than watching it alone with no one to tell you are right about that call or this play. :)

really the only thing we can offer him is his friend Trai, playing with Cam, and the opportunity to start at left tackle if he can earn it in TC, thus making himself way more valuable.

Charlotte as a city fuging blows, and it's not like Jerry would ever pay him under the table.

The whole gofundme thing is kind of blackmaily guys.

"If you don't come to Carolina this money doesn't go to YOUR charity"

wtf lol

I recognize it's kind of ridiculous and might be one of the more retarded things I've done...but the idea I think is just to make him aware that fans want him here. It's kind of gimmicky but in the end, a few bucks will go to some charity and no one is hurt...except maybe my dignity. But eh...after the draft party at Igo's, I'm not sure I have much of that left anyways. ;)

The Cowboys, however, were the first team to get Collins on a road trip. He made a visit to Dallas on Wednesday night where he was greeted at an undisclosed location with a full-court press from every level of the organization, per a source. Owner Jerry Jones, coaches, players were all on hand to woo Collins.

I guess he did go to Dallas. There you have it.

Have you been to any of the other 31? Detroit? Buffalo? Cleveland? I've been to all but 2, and if you think CLT blows, you ain't seen chit like the chit in the others. The two I haven't been are Green Bay (you gotta be kidding for a young AA male), and IndiaNAPolis (it's supposedly called NAP town for a reason...zzzzz). Even "America's Finest City", San Diego, will likely lose it's team and the size/quality of housing is quadruple the price of CLT.

Charlotte is a 3rd tier city in this country by any way you want to describe it.

I guess that's why we have northerners coming here by the truck loads. Or that we are one of the fastest growing cities in the US...... We may not be huge but we are on our way.

I'm a damn yankee and plan on retiring in Charlotte.

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
