Quick takes on Oher

This. Bell and Chandler were gonna be the answers last year.

I mean, I can't blame him. What's he supposed to say? "Holy poo, have you seen these guys??? They're fuging TERRIBLE!!! We are so completely and utterly fuged that it ain't even funny!!!"

Forget Bell and Chandler, I remember when Rivera said he felt good about our DT's and those guys were McClain and Fua. With that said, I feel good about Oher.

Yeah, leaders don't really talk bad about their people publicly. But that might be hard for a lot of you to understand

I've got no problem with us giving Oher a shot and hope he works out but Ron has already proven to be a very poor judge of offensive line talent so I don't really care what he has to say about him at this point.  I'll believe it when I see it with my own eyes.

Poor judgement on putting to much faith in veterans than playing the younger guys who prove themselves.

I see your point  and hindsight supports it.  I think coaches look at the talent pool and if there does not appear to be a great disparity they go with what they perceive to be the best chance to win.  I think that is what happened last year.  At some point the vets either proved less than acceptable and/or the young guys developed.  On top of all that he did not have the best hand dealt to him in FA and talent.  The other thing we are not aware of are the "tweaks" here and there that limit players so I suspect player evaluation is extremely dynamic.

Ron is not a great NFL coach but he is a great if not elite football coach.  I suspect he has some acumen at evaluating talent so I will give him a bit of rope.

All I was saying, for the whiners here, was that Rivera really didn't say much.  "He has been here to the facility every day".

Well, so has the janitor.

LMFAO!! Exactly!! Cut the rest of this BS.
