Which new addition will have the biggest impact this year?

Captroop

Between not having a first round pick, much cap room to work with, and returning 20 of 22 starters, we haven't really made any uber-impactful additions. So, I ask you, Huddlers, which new Panther, be it a draft pick, free agent acquisition, or scrub, do you think will step up and make a big impact for the Cats this year?

I'm betting Kenneth Moore. He's liable to be the only WR not named Smith or Muhammad to dress on gameday. Granted we don't use the slot receiver a lot, but when's the last time we had a decent slot receiver? I think Moore can fill a role that been filled since we had Ricky Proehl, and Proehl got his share of spectacular plays. Between his likely contributions as a receiver, add that Moore will probably act as a return specialist at some point during the season. I think he's going to make the Lions regret giving him up

I'm gonna have to say Goodson. Even if Stewart gets healthy and is in full form, the guy is threat in so many ways. He has great vision, eluding tackles. He can catch out of the backfield and get upfield. Obviously returning as well. He is going to add a new dynamic to this offense that will confuse defenses in the early weeks. I agree that Kenny Moore has the potential to have a big impact as well. I'm very happy with his development (much of which can probably be credited to Steve Smith as much as the coaches). I'm optimistic that he'll show he is capable of being a number 2 WR for us in 2010 and beyond.

munnerlynn on defense and goodson on offense.

overall munnerlynn.

Bold prediction. I like it!

And I didn't even think about Moore eventually working his way up to the #2 WR. I guess I figured they'd draft someone next year to fill in as our possession guy for Muhummad. Can you imagine two WRs with those kind of quicks starting opposite each other? Like DHB and Chaz Shilens in Oakland, either burn their man deep or pull the coverage downfield to open room underneath for our TEs. I might be drooling
