The Black and Yellow plague

When I was at a tail gate talking with my Uncle I was alarmed to see so

many Steeler Fans. Pittsburg is over 7 hours away by car, IMO people

who are living in charlotte should be supporting the panthers.

What is even more annoying is that all these fans who were near us

were doing this all game:

Getting up to go purchase Beer (obstructing my view / making me have to stand up so they can shamble by) > Coming back to their seats (obstructing my view again)> drinking beer > getting up 20 min later to go to the

bathroom and purchase more beer (obstructing my view again).

The Silliest part was that there were 2 guys who did this who by the 3rd

quater they were so tanked that they got lost and spent part of the

third quater wandering around several sections for 10 minutes and could

not find their seats. Finally they sat down in a section 3 sections to our

right.

I still had fun at the game today, even though the panthers lost.

One thing I think would help is if the CITY took MORE ownership in the team.

In many away cities you see the home city celebrating the team "away" from the stadium. Its a constant reminder of the teams support, and this alone I am sure helps those who live in the city feel like they are a part of the team.

Charlotte could do a better job IMO..

Wow...really?

Just because you live in the city doesn't mean you HAVE to have a loyalty to the teams in the city, or even the state for that matter.

And having to stand up to let people pass is typical...not sure why you're complaining about it. I'm sure it takes you all of 10 seconds to stand up and sit back down.

Get over it.

Its sarcasm about panther fans, I think we are improving. Anyone ever been to Arrowhead stadium? Those fans are vicious, I had a chance to see them play the Bills during the Jim Kelley days on Monday Night Football. I was in the Army at the time and attended the game with a hard core Bills fan, thought we would need a military escort to the parking lot. Final score Chiefs - 35 Bills - 6, experience priceless!

Steelers fans are quite literally all over the country due in large part to the mass exodus of blue collar workers after Pittsburgh's economic collapse decades back. Their fans have a very strong presence almost everywhere they play. I bet a lot of the Steeler fans at that game were actually from the Carolinas or Virginia, etc and not Pittsburgh. Add in that it's the last preseason game and tickets are very easy to come by, and there you go.

The Steelers have one of the most widespread fanbases in the league, they are literally a nation of fans that will go to great lengths to watch Steelers games. Many people criticize them but they're some of the most dedicated fans in all of sports.

Hah! It's easy to be a "dedicated" Steelers fan. They always win. They pick up bandwagon fans every year in every city. That's why they are all over the country.

Maybe the most "overrated" fans in all of sports. I'll buy that.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
