Benwikere got his most extensive work in team drills thus far. Says he's thinking less and reacting more. That was on display today.

Rivera says the #Panthers offensive line is gelling nicely, gave praise to LT Michael Oher. Rivera also likes depth, esp. Jonathan Martin.

  1. Rivera says Benwikere’s still a starting option at CB, along w/being top NCB. He can play on outside cause he plays vertical despite size.

Concern on the health of Tyrone Green, a do everything offensive lineman. Right foot injury. Team hoping it's not an Achilles

Rivera says DEs Charles Johnson & Frank Alexander are dealing with hamstring injuries. Slight possibility to return by end of week.

let them rest.. those 2 are going to be huge for us this year.. we need to be healthy.. they really dont need the reps anyway

injuries on our D-line could be 1 thing that would derail our season.. *knock on wood x1000*

Past few years, the secondary hasn't been Skrong enough to let the D-line get many coverage sacks. Adding Tillman will make QBs hold the ball an extra second or two in the pocket, giving our D-line more time to get to him.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
