House of Cards is good, but until you watch The Wire you can't compare anything, trust me.  When it comes to TV shows, there is The Wire at the top and then everything else below it, imo.

I don't think we should put True Detective, BoB, Fargo, etc in the same category because they have one season to make a tight, controlled story, but other shows are across seasons so I think there is too much of a difference.

On a lighter note one thing absolutely wrong about this season is the bar scenes when they're smoking. No one smokes anywhere indoors in a public place in California anymore except Smoke rooms or some Indian Casinos (Weird I know).

A friend recently took their daughters to Europe for Graduation and they literally didn't know what the ashtray on the restaurant table was as most kids today wouldn't know what an 8Track player is.
