How does it differ from Asylum and City?  I'm considering purchasing it, but I was going to give it a month to see how the fan reviews started coming in.

Bat mobile gameplay is super expansive. The world is just bigger compared to city. Amazing story line. The seamless transition of combos and switching characters. The upgrading system is bigger and better if you ask me. It's worth the purchase

Welp, I've beat it and 100%'d everything except the Riddler trophies... the ending is pretty wild.

I'll eventually go after those trophies too some time down the line, because unlike most games with collectibles, these are actually somewhat fun to go after.  You also finally get to beat the Riddler's ass in this one after 3 fuging games if you get all of them this time.  That alone is worth it.

Loved the last two...is it even better?

When you say last two, I'm not sure if you're counting Origins or not (most people don't).  I personally didn't even play Origins, so I'm not qualified to speak on it - I heard poor things though.

Each one of the main titles has it's own strengths in my opinion... so it's hard for me to give Asylum, City, or Knight a fair ranking amongst each other for that reason.  They're all 3 superb games, and absolute masterpieces of the superhero video game genre.  Asylum has that tight Metroid-like atmosphere with more linear, yet focused feel to it.  City is more open-world and freedom, and probably has the best storyline of the 3 in it (IMO).  Knight pretty much takes everything from City, and improves on it with a true next gen feel, plus the batmobile... the damn batmobile, as detailed as it is, could be damn near be a game on it's own.  They put some time and effort into that thing.

I personally probably liked City better overall, but Knight is right there with it.  It's probably the first true "next generation" game I've played so far on the new consoles.  The seamless and super smooth gameplay mechanics and animations will probably leave you with a poo-eating grin for the first hour or so you play it.  That's also not even mentioning the fuging amazing graphics it has to go along with it.  The entire game looks like one long ass cut scene.  All those TV spots you saw with this game with the spruced up CGI looking graphics?  Yeah, those are the actual in-game graphics.

I went ahead and ordered it.  It came Sunday but I haven't had the time to crack it open.  Hopefully today if work doesn't pile like it did yesterday.

It's done very well so far that I've played. The Batmobile handles like a fat pig but you'll get better at it.

They also do some pretty trippy things with the camera and the story as it unfolds. Makes for a few "ah nice" moments so far.

I'm having trouble reading the tiny tool-tips on a 50" LCD only about 15' away from my eyes.  Are my eyes really getting that poor or is time for a new one?  Also, is here a way to increase the pixel size of the tool-tips?

    • It's a failing of most first time HCs. I get an OC not being a defensive expert but they do play the other side every week so it always amazes me that poop slides so often. First year? Sure but as time goes on they need to be a HC and have a balanced and good team in the end. They went offense for that reason and the QB issues the team had. They had to go WR again this year because they failed so hard last year at that position in the first. That's on both the HC and GM on that miss IMO. This year they went out and got a bunch of free agents and drafted more on the D. It just doesn't appear they did it well again. Add in keeping Evero and missing out on an expensive free agent, thankfully but it would have lessened the cap gap in spending, it's not like they didn't try. It's more of an issue of competency than cap. Building around Evero after last year is damning for thr GM and HC. That's the biggest issue. They just didn't do any of it well. Now they have some younger talent and I don't think there is a decent coach in that house.
    • Inside linebacker is basically non existent. And that goes against everything that has been Carolina Panthers for a couple decades now. And that is just one such area that has suffered as we have paid through the nose to build up our offense around a bad investment.
    • Thats why its going to suck spending another top 10 pick on a qb instead of an elite Lb, pass rusher or whatever.  but it what it is and you have to have a qb to win in this league
