Heading to Asheville in the morning

i hate wicked weed (because of the restaurant itself, not the beer... too packed all the time), but LOOOOOOOOOOVE the funkatorium (wicked weed's sour beers).  definitely check it out if you're in south slope

south slope is where you want to go if you want all of the locals to know you're from charlotte lol... during the weekend it's nothing but tourists getting ripped off on brewery tours

if you want to beat the crowds a bit, head towards the Catawba tasting room in south Asheville past Biltmore... hit French broad brewing while you're there.  right across the street/railroad tracks.  highland is also nice to get away from the major crowds and have food trucks all weekend long... much more laid back then all the stuff that's in town, imo

only time I hit up south slope is if it's a weekday or past tourist season... but a blind person could find good beer down there. I usually stick to funkatorium, Asheville brewing (honestly, more as a pizza/food pit stop than really the beer, not that it's bad), Ben's tune-up and high-wire.

Hit a bunch of breweries, white water rafted on the FB although the water was too low for really good rapids, had far too many IPA's and didn't get enough sleep.

All said, good times.  For food, really enjoyed The Admiral and the Bull and Beggar.

I went to Barley's Taproom and it was great. I had the steak and cheese sub and one of their beer flights. The sub wad exceptional and the flight was a great way to sample 4 different beers without going broke.

Ha That is where we ate dinner on Thursday night...

I had a great pizza with beefalo and drank a ginger beer and mead among many others.

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
