Just a rumor but if this is true I think it's an excellent idea. Not only would we get all of our best players locked up and ready to go but we screw Seattle over a little by setting the bar before they sign Wagner. I really hope this rumor is true.

Patrick Willis signed a 10 mil/year contract with the niners when he Was regarded as the top MLB in the league. I'd say Around that number maybe 11 would be fair for Luke

I mean all we're disagreeing on is $1 million. I said 6 year/$72M ($12M/year) and you're saying 5 year/$55M ($11M/year). $10M is too low. Look at the link I posted, Lawrence Timmons is making $9.5M/year. Luke has won DROY and DPOY and has led the league in tackles the past 2 seasons. Additionally, with the salary cap set to explode over the next few years, contracts are rising among all positions.

The reason I think it's going to be a 6 year deal instead of 5 is because Luke is only 24.

Sign LUKE now then work on Star, Kk and Norman so all our stars can be locked in for at least the next five years" So everyone can be on the same page for the future and happy too know we cherish them and there willingness to become close and better.. So the next draft want scare us too go after a top DT,DE or OT cause even if they are better then our starters we can pay them and be loaded!!!! We needs to sign them all now!!!! Keep our stars together" save cap for next year put our draft eggs in 2 or 3 baskets by moving up and drafting the best player available because we don't need much now but maybe a Safety, future OT or Superstar DT-DE too rotate.. WE truly SET!!

I'm fine with Keuchly getting 12M a year over 6 years, especially when you consider how the salary cap is rising every year.
