This may be a stupid question... (re: LBs and conditioning)

This may be a stupid question and I'm not totally sure it's worthy of a separate thread, but as I've been looking at our roster and our injury list in recent days, it's struck me how many LBs we have, and how few injuries we've seen among LBs.  Other than the scratch to Luke's leg (which resulted in like 1 missed snap in the NE game), and the muscle tweak Trusnik had the past day or two (he was back to practice today), I don't think ANY of our 10 LBs have missed much practice time this pre-season due to injury.  Perhaps I'm forgetting someone.  But right now all 10 of our LBs are healthy.

So my question:  Is there something different the LBs do regarding strength & conditioning that the other positions don't?  Do they have different strength & conditioning routines or coaches?  I imagine I'm completely off the wall for thinking this could be a factor, but given so many other position groups struggling with injuries - especially non-contact injuries, it's got me wondering.

P.S -.and yes I have knocked on wood that we avoid any LB injuries!

Did you miss this article?

http://bigstory.ap.org/article/eb43e577b4e648fea5286b9197f44c00/players-methods-recovery-training-camp-vary

Luke Kuechly sits on the edge of a six-foot wide, two-foot deep metal tub filled with ice and water contemplating the shock his body is about to endure.

"Oh, I dread it every time," Kuechly says with a grin.

But he gets in. He always gets in.

I think players train as a group, so LB's would have their own routine. A good part of it may be training with weights & strengthening the core.

I used to roll my eyes when people complained about why the trainers couldnt make sure proper stretching is done to prevent the dreaded hammy pull. From a layman perspective it just seems like it can be prevented. I guess not.

I may be off base with this comment, but can we not talk about groups of players that seem to never get injured? That makes me nervous as fug and I feel like it's bad luck.

understood, and I did hesitate to write this, but I really was curious...
