Luke is about to come back, Here comes Jared Allen, Add Shaq Thompson... Let Davis Rest , add AJ Klein just got baptized by fire, we have Norman, Benwik.. Tillman and of course the usual Suspects upfront.

Gettlemagic knows when and how to feed. He waits for the Opportune Moment. Oh BTW .... that Offensive line that is allowing Cam to make  our second tier receivers look like Supreme stars....

Yyyyyyeeeesssss

People applaud PU for starting his threads despite his critics, myself included. So I'm going to applaud Propaganda for being excited despite his critics. Nice to see enthusiastic threads to balance the predominantly negative ones in here.

Keep it going Props!!

I'm thinking CJ might get put on IR and Bersin gets stashed back on the PS.

we really need another safety. I mean seriously. How many 12-yard catches can a defense give up right in the middle of the field by just running straight there and literally just standing there waiting for the pass to be thrown.

any team with a decent QB and a possession receiver are gonna lull us to death with incessant dink-dunks to center-field.

I know that's kinda Luke territory but what the heck, why can't we get a safety who can actually be an enforcer in the middle?

Where's Steve Atwater? Bring him in as our DB/ST coach please.

i'm sorry I stopped reading when you said CJ to the IR

obviously, you've never been an athlete and pulled/strained your hammy. It can be a career ender.

seriously, he's been hampered by this for the better part of 2-seasons and he could barely walk-off the field.

Some people's ligaments just don't hold up when you add too much muscle to that certain area and no matter how much you try to stretch it out, it just tightens right back up as soon as you try to go full tilt.

I know of players, especially baseball outfielders, whose hammy' shave ended their careers.

IR-Boomerang is absolutely a possibility for CJ. The hammy looked really bad when he was limping off the field so I think it's a significant strain which means 4-6 weeks is likely the best case scenario. Since we have Allen now the best course of action may be to just let him sit 8 weeks to make sure he is fully recovered so he's ready for the stretch run.

I highly doubt CJ goes to IR. You realize that Cotchery is going to be out for the next 2 games or so at least. Right? Bersin isn't going anywhere, not yet.

With the Allen trade, the plan would seem to be to allow Charles to heal up, and then bring him back to finish the season with a pretty formidable combo of CJ, and Allen on the field together.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
