What I would like to see

I, like most of you, am very happy be 4-0 heading into the bye week.  Many predicted less.  Now we come to the test that will show who we are.

I personally see us heading into Green Bay 7-0 and our game being the Game of the Week.

Seattle, WE SHOULD BEAT.  Our defense is as tough as theirs and we got a chip.  Jimmy Graham is pooing his pants because Thomas Davis is going spend a couple hours knocking the crap out of him.  (I have never seen a player react as to an individual player as I have seen Graham act towards TD) Anyhow, 12 man or not.  We should win this game.

Philly isn't as daunting as they we when the schedule came out.  Film is out on this this style and IMO Chip Kelly is losing his locker room already.

Indy,  I hope the interception machine plays and Cam outshines him because I cannot stand the Luck hype and the Colts are not that good either.

7-0 going into a home game with GB.  BOA Stadium will rock.

Now to my topic.

I would like to see our running game get more than 2 yds a carry. (not including Cam)  Seems the majority of our runs are less than 2 yard.  Which takes me to my second point.

WR keep stepping up.   It is good to see Bersin getting passes and Ginn making plays but I would like to see us get Funchess online.  I would take an early play and get Funchess the ball.  Let him shake the Jitters and hopefully get him in the groove as we face these better teams.

Defense tight up.  I know Luke has been out but we seem so blah.  Hopefully, Luke is back in time for Seattle because he is going to be a difference maker.  Klien is solid and our defense is good with him a MLB. But Carolina Sports the best MLB in the game and he changes our defense from good to great.

Finally,  Special Teams don't put us in a bind.  NO more put returns and no more blocked FGs.   We might need those points against our next opponents.

I like the confidence in this thread but over looking opponents is not a good idea.  Seattle in Seattle is a problem by itself. Let's take it one game at a time folks.

Not at all over looking anyone.  My point is we should beat those teams.  Though we have things we need to fix  (part two of the OP) we are good enough to beat these guys.  Seattle, Philly and Indy have not shown me anything that would make be think they are better than us.

Yes we are going to Seattle and they got the 12th man. Got it.  Our defense is going to make things rough on Wilson.  Outside of divisional opponents we have face the Seahawks more than anyone else.  We know them well.   Time to come up with a W.   I don't believe this is overlooking Seattle.  Overlooking Seattle is saying this game is a Lock.

Philly is spiraling out of control and by week 7 they may be done.  They  have traded all their talent away, the talent they brought in they don't use.  This is a very winnable game and if we play smart Panther football we should win.

Finally, Indy.  I think this will be tough but Indy line is terrible.  Their running game scares no one and Luck will throw Picks. Winnable game.

Are these LOCK games, not a chance.  Should we win, Yes.

    • Overall, fine.  Wish we landed a guy to pair with Lloyd but I presume this means they're giving Trevin one final year to put it together (72nd overall 2 years back).  Flashed potential year 1, had a dud last year.   R1: Freeling LT - Great value and a need; landed our new long term LT that could end up starting off the bat.  Icky had a terrible injury and is not playing in his contract year.  Walker is what he is on a 1-year rental, who even knows how he fits. You get premier OTs early if you can find em' and he has what you want.  I thought he could have gone as high as 6/CLE pre-draft, so am a big fan of the selection.  Looking at this class, he's one of the guys at the top that is like "okay that's the LT".  Others have this right/left or G/T type discussion about them.  Freeling is an LT.   R2: Hunter NT - We didn't really have anyone replacing A'Shawn's snaps in our rotation.  Wharton & Brown aren't 3 downers so adding Hunter to the mix fills a big void. I dug deep into S and LB this draft so was a bit to zeroed in - In recognize the value and impact add in the trenches. R3: Brazzell WR - Intriguing.  Given our history, I don't really want to place any expectations here, but a different style weapon for Bryce. I pretty much expect a WR drafted yearly with this regime. Other notables.. Hecht C - These are the type of rounds where starting centers have been found.  We got a starter for this year, but Hecht seems pretty capable and I like it for a long term find.  SOLID AF.  Wheatley S - A pretty well regarded safety prospect.  And we see it every year (like this one) safeties get hyped, people think they may go sooner than expected, and the league reminds them how it rolls.  Plenty of nice safeties have been found in the 4th-6th in recent years.  Big fan of Wheatley. Can't say I know enough about Lee or the others.
    • I'm excited. I love situations like this when you could potentially find a diamond in the rough on the cheap. And you know guys like this are gonna put in the work and desire way more than others to be great.
