I'm actually under 50. I just look over 50.

Girlfriend is in her late 30s but looks like she's in her mid 20s.

I get compliments on having a lovely daughter :(

Sounds to me that the insult is well worth it.  I have a wife who looks 35 and is actually 53.  I look 53.

Should've never kept him over Barnidge in the first place.  Didn't like it when it happened, absolutely hate it now that Barnidge is tearing poo up

Barnidge was a terrible blocker.  I don't ever think the pass catching part of his game was the problem.  It is good to see him still playing and maybe he has learned to block but in the long run he is a poor man's WR.

I guess there are still pro- Lee Ward Huddlers.  I get it, everyone likes a dark horse.  But IMO, he just doesn't fit our scheme.  We have to compensate for our WR corps, and the best way to do that is use a combo of pass-catching RBs and run-blocking TEs in the backfield.  If Ward is put back there [assuming he can crack the roster], then defenses could just ignore him, and focus on whoever else is back there.  His blocking abilities would have to waaaaaaay overshadow what Tolbert or Dickson bring to the table.  And I just don't see that.  Now, when we're up and want to pound the clock, then I can see traditional I-sets and running it up the gut, but that's a huge decision to take a roster spot for a very particular set of circumstances.  What we have now is working, and I believe Ward would just throw a kink in it.

Sometimes fate demands that you do today what should have been done yesterday .

Ron and Dave are slow to change,  and sometimes injury is the only thing that will force their hands.

Good luck to Richie,  but I can see better days ahead for the Panthers with Simonson in the mix.

Hmm, I don't know about that.

Ron is the head coach, ultimately he sets the roster. It isn't as if Dave is in Ron's ear everyday demanding that he keep certain players on the active roster no matter whether they are performing well or not. Besides, when a player is dealing with an injury, it changes the approach required.

    • I was reading through the thread seeing if someone would mention this. This is exactly what the Canes are doing and Tripp Tracy alluded to it on the Spittin Chiclets podcast when he said Taylor Hall was our Sam Bennett. The Canes and Panthers have always played identical with the main difference being Florida toes the line between physical and dirty. The Canes have stepped up the physical play this year and are inching closer to that line of physical and dirty. If I’m being honest, as a Montreal fan I wouldn’t love the fact that the Canes seem to be targeting Hutson but as a Canes fan I love it because this is what you have to do in the playoffs. Unfortunately for Montreal they aren’t an overly physical team outside of Anderson and Xhekaj; only the Avs, Stars, and Sabres average less hits per game than Canadians in the playoffs. The Canadians can still make this a series if they stop playing scared and turning the puck over simply because they are getting elite goaltending while the Canes are getting average goaltending but if the Habs continue to play with the yips and either Andersen steps up or Dobes regresses then this series could end in five.
    • I guessed Andy Reid too on that Price is Right. As if I had any idea….
    • Yet I bet you he still is able to pressure him. I guess it depends on your bottom line evaluation of what Bryce is. In my opinion he is low hanging fruit for anyone with even a D game.
