One thing that's guaranteed: if you are the number one overall pick in the NFL Draft, you're going to a bad team.

The notion that anyone would hold out in hopes of going to a "better" bad team than this year's bad team is kinda silly.

I will never Understand the hate for Luck from Panthers fans. It's really ridiculous.

It's like that one chick in high school that chose the other guy over you and you're married to a better chick but you can't help but think what if, let it go man you have a better chick!! (Best Analogy ever? Probably not, don't give a fug.)

Coincidentally.. the 2012 Colts?

 

They had plenty of cap room and went after offense in draft and FA.  

They had a defense that went from bottom 3 to top 5 with very few personnel moves.

It's quite possible.

I do also believe the team around him is terrible, but Luck looks bad this year.

Is it due to injury? No idea. I just know he doesn't look as good as in prior years.

You asked which team with a #1 overall pick was not in a clusterpluck situation and one possible exception is the very situation in the OP.

I am saying I don't believe in coincidences.  That only extends to the situations I remarked upon, not the ones you are bringing up.

To answer your question, no.  That would be ridiculous.

Will there ever be proof that the Colts "sucked for luck"?  No.   Will there be internet speculation?  Absolutely.

Never understood/understand why there's some panther fans who feel the need to defend Luck. Players from all teams are bashed on here daily; even our own Cam Newton, but its an issue when folks trash Luck?
