okay guy

Schematically he is. But he gets caught up in his own genius. Situationally he was terrible for us. This long winded routes with shotty oline play that everyone bitched about with Hamilton? Chud did that with the read option and was so hard headed he didn't change until the season was already lost for us in 2012.

Maybe some time away will help him idk. It will be interesting to see what he does with the talent they have.

They're setting up chud to be the HC after they boot Pagano at the end of the season...

maybe they were worried he'd go to Miami, but I don't think he's a good fit as a college head coach, and alumni hires essentially never work

I don't understand all the hate for Chud, we had a top 5 offense Cams rookie year with our only good receiver being Steve Smith. Sure he tried to get to cute sometimes but you don't have a top 5 offense with a rookie quarterback without the offensive coordinator being at least decent. No matter how stacked your team is.

So after reading up a little, Colts fans were pissed about Pep fixating on the long ball over a timing/short passing game. And they think Chud is going to change things up. And I don't have the heart to tell them because they're so fuging happy right now.

Wonder how motivated Chud will be to do good work for Pagano? Indy this past off-season denied several teams permission to talk to Chud.by making him Associate Head Coach. Someone high up in the food chain likes him, probably enough to give him the job after Pagano gets hit in the azz by the door on his way out. So why should Chud try to turn the ship around for Pagano when he's probably next in line for Pagano's job?

Not my team, not my problem. Just stirring the chili.

Another example of how one play can change games, reputations and careers.  If Luck completed one of those end of game passes for a winning TD ,all of today's discussion changes.  He is now back to being a great QB, way ahead of Cam and the coaches are back on track for a deep playoff run.

Next week, Cam will either be better than Rogers or exposed as unreliable based on whether a pass is completed or not.

It's still a long season, the Panthers are learning how to win in a variety of ways.  We just need to stay the course

I will say this again. Luck will get about 5 more OCs fired and about 2 more HC fired before anyone in Indy DARES hold the golden one accountable for his irresponsible play.

The same exact thing happened with Cutler before FINALLY John Fox said NO MORE...You are not getting me fired Cutler because of your idiotic play.

The sad thing about it is that, like Cutler, Luck will have his pick of OC. He hand picked Pep, and will hand pick his replacement too.

I remember when the GM was let go and the Huddle/media went crazy saying that Newton should be benched and traded right along with him. But me thinks that no such reaction will be had for the golden one Luck. Hey, can't get that $350 million dollar contract that he deserves if he is being benched right ESPN?

Yep.  He draws up incredible plays no doubt, but they require unreal levels of execution and leave no room for error.

Best example is 2012 vs Denver where we kept assigning Olsen to block Von Miller 1 on 1 in the read option repeatedly.

Olsen is a good blocker for a TE, but Von blows by most Tackles.

His first year with Cam in Carolina I thought came with awesome, creative, spread-out offensive concepts. I think it works with Indy's roster.

A lot of it had to do with cams ability. I'm curious if they will run some  with Luck because he is pretty athletic.

Chuds problem has been lack of situation awareness and his stubbornness. I'm actually very interested to see how the team looks with him.
