Do not judge Matt Moore on this performance...

Best post of the day.

Thank You.

Don't forget we were unable to score from the 1 today. O line was not the greatest. Add to that a blantat block in the back that went uncalled (even Olbermann on Football Night in America commented on the no call) and we would have only lost 31-17. Much better.

Yeah take away Delhomme's free 14 points he gave to Philly plus 2 other turnovers and we would've looked much better... yeah and take away his 6 turnovers vs the Cards last year, we wouldve looked much better in that playoff game. Take away his turnovers vs Oakland, we wouldve looked much better too. Take away his 5 TOs vs the Bucs last year we wouldve looked much better as well. Take away his multiple turnover performance vs Vikings last year and we wouldve looked much better... yeah nice logic dude, good thinking there...

Man, take a Xanax. I was making a joke. I already said Jake had a crappy game and was a big part of the loss today. I just don't think he should be benched for 2 bad performances......4 bad performances bench him.

And as for the past not meaning anything, then why are players given raises or huge contracts except for how they have performed in the past?

I just gave you games from last season. How is that not the past?

Jake's best asset to this team has always been that he could come in and rally the troops. He could come in down by 17 points, slap some guys on the helmet, shout in their faces and win dammit win! Today he proved he can't do that any more. Conversely, when Moore came in, I saw the best protections and the best formed pocket I had seen all day. They gave him time to make a great stike to Muhummad. They were fighting for Moore. And if Moore is the guy the men in the trenches want to fight for then he has assumed Jake's mantle and should take over the role of field general. And you can't have a better backup/lockerroom presence/teacher than Jake Delhomme.
