So I live in Dallas and ive actually never heard it as quiet as it has been this year from Cowboys fans. Ill tell you alot of the fans are upset about the Hardy thing.

I just bought my tickets for the game last night. Gonna be in section 148 with my son. Of all the games this year I hope they put a beating on a team it is this one.

God they are so stupid. They said we are coming into the game "cocky" I can promise them, this Panthers teams is the most laser focused team they will go up against all season. There is not 1 cocky person in our locker room. Unlike their own locker room. They really don't understand how superior the Panthers are compared to other teams they have played. They will learn just like every other team we have faced. I'm not worried about Romo, hardy, their incredible defense or any of it. The refs are all I worry about. A cowboys win on Thanksgiving against a 10-0 team led by Cam Newton. Just the headlines the NFL needs.

Here is my favorite quote from their forum thanksgiving day pre game thread :

" Carolina has a weak schedule.  They're not as good as their record.  The better teams they did beat were at the low points of the season like GB when they were on their 3 game skid.  They are beatable.  Our defense is not giving up a lot of points and we are at home.  We can easily win this game. "

Lol people will find a way to discredit every single win we have even against very good teams. Looking forward to shutting them up on Thursday

here's another golden quote from another one of their threads

"The defense outside of CB Norman is below average. He is the real deal, and it makes the rest of the defense play great at times. Romo should light them up like a Christmas tree, and the Carolina defense does give up runs in chunks. "

Uh huh, nevermind those other guys like Luke , TD, K Short, Coleman who are playing out of their minds. And so many of our defensive lineman playing lights out.

I hope it feeds our locker room. You have to think they are worried for Romos health. I would be, facing Short, Allen, Johnson, Addison, Delair, Star, and Love. What a monster line. This game will be won in the trenches, and they have not seen this much beef on the line this year.

That's funny, They want to make the playoffs to play the Panthers They've never beaten the Panthers in the playoffs, that's like saying they want to loose and not win a super bowl. They don't match up well at all, panthers secondary destroys other teams outside  WR's even the best ones in the game. See pretty much all of them over the last 16 games or so plus a stout run defense...

The panther's Offense vs the Cowboys defense...well ..... Dallas has given up 10 rushing TD's and over 100 yards a game. They've played passing yards decently but are giving up a 90 QB rating.....

The panther's Methodical run first offense matches up well against Dallas and Carolina's Defense matches up really well with Dallas' offense.....

Horrible match up for Dallas and saying anything other then that is delusional.

Gut feeling: this will be the first loss of the season. Dallas *needs* this.

However, I also feel it will be the only loss of the season. So... that's good :)

You have no Faith green bay is better then Dallas and beat them heckling Seattle is probably better then Dallas and beat them in Seattle.

    • Congratulations do they know who the father is?
    • In my opinion Fitterer was probably right about not paying McCaffrey. Now not wanting to "pay RBs" in my opinion isn't something you want to set in stone, to me it all comes down to the individual.
    • Maybe I'm just not understanding, but everywhere that I have read says that signing bonuses go against the cap prorated by as much as five years. The following example uses Andrew Luck's rookie contract as an example. "Take Andrew Luck, the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. Luck signed a four-year contract with the Colts worth $22.1 million and included a $14.5 million signing bonus. Rather than a $14.5 million cap hit in 2012, the Colts spread out his signing bonus over the life of his contract. The hit against the cap would be $3.625 million per year over four years instead of a direct cap hit of $14.5 million directly in 2012. This gave the Colts more leverage and cap flexibility in signing other players." https://www.the33rdteam.com/nfl-signing-bonuses-explained/ I don't know why some of you think that signing bonuses aren't counted against the cap over the length of the contract, but whatever.   "The bonus with a signing is usually the most garish aspect of a rookie contract. Bonus is the immediate cash players receive when they ink a deal. It factors into the cap, but only for the whole contract duration, in terms of salary cap calculations. In the case of Bryce Young’s $24.6 million signing bonus, that’s prorated to approximately $6.15 million per season over a four-year deal. This format allows teams to handle the cap and provides rookies with some short-term fiscal stability, which is important given the high injury risk in this league." https://collegefootballnetwork.com/how-rookie-contracts-work-in-the-nfl/ I understand how signing bonuses can be a useful tool in order to manage the cap, and as one of the article suggests, signing bonuses may become important if you have a tight cap, but the bill is always going to come due. I'm not necessarily referring to you Tuka, but it seems to me that others simply don't want to understand that fact which is why they're reacting to what I'm saying negatively. How odd. In any event, I have a better general understanding of why signing bonuses are used now, and it's generally to fit salaries under the cap. Surely players, whether they be rookies or not, love a signing bonus because they get a good portion of their money up front. This in turn gives them more security and probably amounts to tax benefits as well. I also understand why teams would not want to use signing bonuses, particularly for players or draftees who have a higher probability of being gone before a contract even ends.
