I think Rivera has two things going for him when dealing with these situations. 

1.  He is a former player and can relate to pretty much everything his guys go to regarding the game

2.  He is a low key calm guy and doesn't react to crap with emotions  

 

This combination probably prevents a lot of things boiling over in the locker room.  The fact that he has turned into a very very good football coach regarding X and O mgmt only increases his ceiling.  Glad he is our Coach

He was pretty damn emotional in the 3rd quarter with the offense when they had to call that time out. He gathered them all together and let them have it. I could hear him from where I was sitting. I was like. holy poo!

I could see his face and hear the rumbles of him ripping them a new one. It was rather inaudible as far as making out what he was saying specifically, it wasn't pleasantries that's for sure. I think there may have been a formation issue on he field.

We got called for that about 3 times yesterday.  By that point he should have been pissed.
