Probably not a surprise to most, but hell yeah we finally got Thomas Davis in the Pro Bowl! Bout freaking time!

"Quarterback Cam Newton finished second overall with 701,086 fan votes, just 468 shy of the leading vote-getter, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Additionally, eight Panthers led their respective position groups: center Ryan Kalil, guard Trai Turner, fullback Mike Tolbert, inside linebacker Luke Kuechly, outside linebacker Thomas Davis, cornerback Josh Norman, free safety Kurt Coleman and special teamer Joe Webb. Including Newton, defensive tackle Kawann Short, tight end Greg Olsen and tackleMichael Oher were the second-place vote getters."

This is only fan votes. Players and coaches still need to vote and the results come out on Tuesday.

Luckily players and coaches have always known that TD is a bad man. The problem in the past has been casual yet moronic fans voting for OLB's strictly off of sack numbers. Problem solved now

I know. But still... Chances are that these are the guys we'll send to Hawaii

I don't know, it's possible. Doubt Oher gets in and doubt Webb gets in, but we'll see. Of course, none of our players will be playing in the game.

Anyone else remember the Oher doubters? While those that were levelheaded said to let's see him play first. I wonder what happened to those people

The doubters? They are still here right along with the Shula Haters, Cam Critics, and the rest.  Remember they are the realists while the level headed ones were the fan boys and knob slobbers who didnt know what we were talking about.  Funny how that worm has turned this year and the so called realists are suddenly quiet and hiding until they have the next thing to bitch about and criticize.

I'm still a Shula hater. I think they just unplugged his mic and letting Braylon call the plays.

Then you will be happy when he gets a head coaching job and leaves until we hire his replacement and go back to scoring in the low 20s unless they promote from within and leave Shula's system in place now that Cam has mastered it.

If you think Shula is responsible for 10 points per game you're nuts.

    • This is about getting open and YAC....and the QB we have.  You basically are just highlighting average depth when targeted vs 2 players. .  And yeah, I often say AT is a small slow reliable TE in terms of what he does for us.   That's what he is.   I think a couple of you want to make this into a Renfrow argument.   I'm a Renfrow fan.  Renfrow does not check the box of what a BY O needs either at the slot.  Renfrow just a niche roleplayer at this level.  it's easy to look up how horrific AT is with the ball in his hands and in terms of getting open.....and it's also easy to look up what a low ceiling of an offense the steady AT diet produces w/ BY.
    • The one time he's actively tried to lose was the best we've ever done.
    • I simply acknowledge BY is the QB.  And just like we did when we drafted him.....the type O you would need to setup around him for success was always pretty simple.  But we have done virtually the opposite.  XL dropping some passes isn't why we were ranked the 32nd O and 30th passing the past 2 years.  *Ricky Prohel was brought up only in regards to role function he served on the team.  Niche/specialist.   He wasn't eating up the snaps in the O.    AT should have a similar snap %. People could MAUL Ricky Prohel and put hands all over him.   We got to the Super Bowl in part because we were mauling guys (our slot CB).   You can't do that now.  AT has a MUCH easier life and still can't get open.  Or run.    If you live in 3 WR sets, with a weak armed QB, and you choose to put someone who can't get open or run in the slot.......well, your are going to have a weak pass O.  That's by design IMO.
