BBR reports that we surrendered 161 yards rushing yesterday

Playing with a 6 man box will cause problems against teams with good o-lines, or hell even average lines. Now that Cam is playing on an incredible level I'd like to see more spending on offense, and less gigantic contracts for LBs. RB and LB are positions I'd rather not tie up a massive amount of the cap on.

38 points, right?

I guess its the offenses fault that they didn't score over 50 so that the defense wouldn't surrender 4 TDs in less than a quarter.

At the time the defense started going on vacation it was 35 points

and that was my point, any offense that score 35 points should be enough to win the game if the defense even attempts to make a tackle

as much as the Panthers need more play makers on offense and Kalil isn't going to last for forever and neither is Stewart or Tolbert or Crotchery, that defense needs a maker over particularly on that d line

if the Panthers don't make it to the Super Bowl or win the Super Bowl it will be on defense and not offense and that is amazing considering Benjamin being out

..oh yeah, hire a special teams coach who has enough sense to change the snap count without a block making him change it.

I was listening to Ron on the radio last night.  Well actually, I was partially listening while my wife was talking.  :)

Ron said that New York played a unique style of offense and we ended up with only 6 guys in the box, and that was one of the reasons we surrendered so many rushing yards.  Or he said something to that effect.  I hope that is the case, but its still a concern.  We didn't defend the run particularly well against New Orleans either.  Fortunately, New Orleans effectively abandoned the run in the second half.

Ron also gave a lot of credit to the Giants for the blocked kick.  Said he watched the tape over and over again, and they timed the snap about as well as he had ever seen.  While he may be right, the fact that we lead the league in number of fg's and extra points blocked this year is a major, major concern imo.  Once we get into the playoff, every point could be critical.  Can't afford a blocked field goal or xp then.

People here don't realize the Giants actually gave given up the second least sacks in the NFL...

a lot of what happened was due to the play calling when we get up big they stop being aggressive it's happened more than once...

Stop bringing facts to a hissy fit....

Fact is that we got up big and expected the Giants to give up the way Atlanta did.  A couple of big plays (blocked FG and Fumble) let them back in it and get some momentum.  It is difficult to refocus after you have lost it in the middle of the game....and I assure you that RR is getting his pound of flesh from the team for this.

Good thing Cam knows when to flip that switch and calmly lead us to yet another victory.
