Signing Oher and Coleman to reasonable 2 year contracts with both players having pro bowl seasons....BRILLIANT!!!

As I stated earlier...we signed Ginn, Oher and Coleman to 2-year deals so we don't have to sweat a drop off from this season.

We'll be losing Cotchery, but with KB coming back and having the steady improvement from CB, there should be a seamless transitional upgrade across the board. Yay Gets!

I wouldn't say he's been a star or anything. But he is consistent. Cam knows what to expect and that helps Cam be Cam. A number of people would just point to Bell for Oher swap as the big change on the line. But it's more than that. Remmers has been steady on the right compared to Nate Chandler last year. Oher has avoided injuries. Some of our worst performances last year were with Bell inactive. I would say our line has 1 elite player in Trai Turner. The rest are average or above average. They just have great team work and a scheme/QB that allows them to succeed.

What we have 3 elite players Norwell | Kalil | Trai  you dont have 15 TDS & 2,016 rushing yards without a top notch interior line.

I disagree. Norwell is a goof fit for us and Kalil is an aging vet. Kalil has had tons of penalties this year and some missed blocks. He's still very good but no longer elite. Norwell will never be elite. He's limited physically. We use him very well and he's a great team player but not elite.

You shut your dirty mouth and take that back about my kid!!!

Besides, his inner rage more than makes up for any physical deficiencies he may have... mean streaks take you very far as an Offensive Lineman, especially OG.

Remmers has been manhandled a lot this year actually, and a ton of penalties to boot (mostly because he got burnt and is protecting Cam with a hold).  We could upgrade him honestly.   He's not as bad as Chandler though lol.

Let's face it, last year at this time we were crying about how badly we needed tackles. We may have one of the best lines we've carried in a long time now. We may be entering an offseason where drafting an OT isn't the number one thing on everyone's wish list.

Chemistry is a big deal on an offensive line and these guys have it. Let's hope they don't have to make any changes for a while.

Oher has played really well this year. Aside from Cam Newton becoming a the best player in the NFL, Oher's play may be one of the biggest reasons we have had so much success. You don't hear his name very often, but as far as i'm concerned that is good news for a LT. I'm really happy he has had a bit of a career resurgence here.

All that being said, it looks like we have solidified the position at least until the end of next season. Plenty of time for Getty to find a dirt cheap replacement option or score a late round gem in the draft if Oher moves on. Hopefully he will stick around.

Yeah the gist of my point is we saw such an improvement this year we are overvaluing this line. They are leaps and bounds above what we fielded early 2014 but they are not leaps and bounds above the league average line. The Cardinals will really test this line if we see them in the playoffs. Seattle too of course.

    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
    • I think a lot of us are feeling this way, enough is enough. There is absolutely no reason to subject the fans of your team to another full season of Bryce fuging Young. I already don't watch like I used to,I miss games and don't even care. Before I was always at the games or in my recliner when the game started now what's the point. Bryce won't have more than 50 yards passing by halftime anyway.   It's crazy how we watch these other teams dump a trash QB quickly yet here we are in year 3 still hoping he will get better, news flash,he won't. I'm not down for year 4,wake me up if we ever decide to replace the mistake.  fug it I can spend more time with my family or making money, fug Tepper.
