2015 Highest Scoring Team in Franchise History

With 2 games left to play, the 2015 Carolina Panthers are the franchise's all time top scoring team. With 2 games to go, the team can go over the 500 point threshold. To put that in perspective, only 2 teams that have won the Superbowl have scored 500+ points in a Season (2010 Saints and 1999 St. Louis Rams). This is more points than the Super Bowl winning seasons of the Peyton Manning led Colts or the Tom Brady Patriots.

Going forward into the playoffs, I believe that it will be Cam Newton and the offense and not Luke Kuechly and the defense, that will help lead this franchise to our first Super Bowl.

Ok, I'm superstitious...let's break our top receiver every year just to make sure things stay the same moving forward.

That's how that works, right?

Superstition is dumb. But hey if it works for you then more power to ya! Just leave our receivers alone, m'kay? :)

This season must be absolutely killing Jeremy....his Shula hatred runs deep and he spent months telling us how much Shula sucks.

Nahhhh. Deep down inside Jeremy was hoping something like this would happen, he just didn't believe it could based on his previous work.

Also Shula adopted the best strategy ever: Just sit there and yell "GO! CAM GO!".

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
