Odell Beat Us Today

That piss ant is ultimately responsible for this.

Yes, it was up to our guys to stay focused, but had the NFL not allowed Beckham to have his way last week we wouldn't have spent most of the week discussing his punk ass.

Josh wasnt himself today either...  not to mention the horrible fuging calls against us either called or not called the whole game this week.  We were penalized by our lack of focus and the extra attention placed on our team by the officials as result of last week.  We weren't going to get any calls in our favor this week until it was too late because the NFL had to make an example out of us.

Anyway, we better have our poo together next week and carry that through the rest of the playoffs.  If we do not reach the Superbowl, this season was a waste.

Good teams overcome bad calls (or a lack of calls). We got outplayed, simple as that. I do agree that Josh did not play his game today. Whether that was due to the OBJ distraction, or he was told to back off this week, I'm not sure. But he didn't look his confident self today, for certain.

That said, our OL played like hot garbage, our DL couldn't get pressure, and we looked flat everywhere else. That's on our guys, and no one else. It's up to Ron and company to get them refocused before the playoffs, and to have them fired up for each and every single game. It's his job to motivate his players, not let them come out playing flat all game.

    • I'm more intrigued at him becoming our future LG. There were some people who thought he was better suited to be a guard in the NFL to begin with.  Then if Freeling ends up being a legit LT, moving Ickey to LG could give us an incredibly strong left side of our OL for years to come. Ickey has only played on the Left side his whole career, both in college and the NFL, so I just wonder if keeping him on the left side, even if shifting inside, would be better than putting him outside on the right side. Just hoping him growing up a Panthers fan will make him want to stay here and move positions than enter FA so he can stay at LT somewhere else, particularly since LT is the big money position on the OL, so he likely can get paid more by someone else to play LT than play LG or RT here for us.
