Award season underway: Thomas Davis wins Bart Starr Award, given to player who exemplifies character and leadership on and off the field.

Won't lie.  I haven't heard of the award, but given the description, Davis deserves it.

Another consequence of the Panthers potentially winning the Super Bowl: Two of the NFL's most honorable men would get Super Bowl rings and be recognized as champions.

Specifically, Thomas Davis and Charles Tillman.

I would love to see that happen.

This is exactly why my wife was in cahoots with my mom to get me a TD jersey for my birthday. I kept telling him how he embodies the panthers and is going to go down as one of my favorite panthers of all time. 

So glad they got me that jersey and it's a travesty they don't sell it in the more accessible version.

Not saying I would rather have Johnson or anything like that because TD is a f*cking boss but Johnson would have been a great pick too. He has also quietly had a pretty darn good career, overcoming a major injury (an Achilles tear is more devastating than an acl) and returning to play at a high level.
