McCoy and Suh got 100 mill and they're considered the best DTs who can rush the passer. KK just had a 12 sack season. That is cray cray. And he can line up as a DE. I really don't know what numbers we're looking at though. Hope he stays with us long term, obviously.

Next year is his last year. Star gets the 5th year option. At least that's my understanding. Could be wrong. And I know Suh and company got 100 Mil contracts but I don't think the Panthers will pay that much. At least I hope not.

That's what I was thinking, we have the 5th year option on Star since he was 1st round, but KK was 3rd round.

 

I mean you can make a case that KK is the best DT in the league... that's big money.

 

I think Zod is right in that we tag Norman... I think we sign KK and exercise year 5 on Star and cut CJ, esp if we draft a DE this year.

That said, our pass rush has fallen off too. G-Man is gonna have to rebuild around Star and Short ASAP then.

If Gettleman can snag 1 maybe 2 adequate pass rushers in this draft, every Panthers CB is going to look like a pro bowler.

Damn, this team keeps cranking out homegrown superstars....we are not going to be able to afford all the studs that we have produced lately.  Kinda hard to pay the best young QB, the best MLB in football, the best CB, possibly the best DT, and another one not too far down the list.  

Thats not even mentioning KB or anyone else I forgot.....poo is cray cray.  I guess its a good problem to have, but it is going to really really blow to see some of these guys who were developed and molded into superstars here, leave because we cannot afford them all.

      T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
