Jay Cutler threw for 316 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in his last game of the regular season. While two interceptions are never good, they can't compare to Jake's game against Arizona. That's why people are upset. We're all accustomed to Jake Delhomme's inconsistencies and, at times, poor decision making. It's just a litte disconcerting when his play Sunday mirrored the playoff game.

I'm of the opinion that Jake is, right now, our best quarterback on the roster. I don't blame him entirely for the loss, but he is to blame for a good chunk of it. If he has another game like these two against Atlanta, I don't know how we can keep him as our starter.

Didn't the Bears just trade for Cutler this off season? How long has Delhomme been in the same (predictable, I might add) offensive system? In Cutler's case, I will see what he does for a few more games. In Delhomme's case, we know around a quarter of the season he will "pick a bad day to have a bad day". In any case Delhomme has been a veteran in the league much longer and should know to protect the ball (by now) regardless of any other factors.

What PLAYOFF game was that in, I missed that..? Oh I see you said last regular season game, I guess Cutler wasn't good enough to make the playoffs.

I don't want Jake as the QB if he is going to do this every week either, but you people act like he is the worst QB to ever play football.

Payton Manning has even thrown 4INTs in a game so it happens. If we want to do well we need to fix our Oline then we can worry about who's throwing the ball.

Here is some more info. Jake Delhomme Threw less INTs last year then Brett Favre and Jay Cutler. That including the Playoff game.

I've defended Jake a long time, and I'm a fan. But Jake is the worst quarterback playing RIGHT NOW based on his last two games. If he plays like that again, he's got to be benched. That's all I'm saying.

Just as Cutler wasn't solely responsible for his team missing the playoffs, Delhomme wasn't solely responsible for the loss on Sunday. But I think Delhomme was most to blame for both the Arizona and Philadelphia loss.

Again, I'm not a Jake hater like a lot of people are and have been. I'm just telling you why the Cutler analogy isn't quite appropriate.

As much as everyone would like it to be. The problems dont just stop with Jake. McCown is now on IR because the Oline was not blocking Jack poo that game. The failed to even to run block well and that was there bread and butter last season. Sure we can replace Jake but we will find out just like in the 07 season if you dont have a Oline that can protect the QB it dose not matter who you put back there.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
