I'll certainly try and be the loudest Panthers fan there.

Also, I sport a personally hand crafted MS paint version of Ma'ake Kemoeatu being bit in the achilles by a tremor monster during training camp circa 2009, which means you cannot question my obsessiveness with the team.

Also also, if we win, as a graphic artist I'll create an insanely sick custom Carolina Huddle themed wallpaper (all aspect ratios, all sizes up to 4K including iOS phones) for the website for free. Huzzah.

My fandom began when my sperm donor for a father sent me a hat and a t-shirt as he lived in North Carolina. Being from upstate NY everyone was either a Jets, Giants, or Bills fan but thankfully my family wasn't die hard sports fans so it was an easy transition. It wasn't until the long, lonely years of being in Iraq that I became a diehard fan. Football season and panthers games kept me happy over there in the damn sauna that is Iraq. I would love these tickets, even though I'd be driving 1000 miles as I now live in Texas, it'd be worth every red bull I had to drink to get there in time.   My wife and I made the trek earlier this season when J-no sealed the game for us with the pick against New Orleans. That was our first trip to BOA and unfortunately a security guard sent us to the wrong side of the stadium to meet the players post game so I was stuck around saints fans, I did get to meet Tolbert and he was gracious enough to take a picture with wife and I which made our weekend. That was my third game as well, and we're undefeated when I attend. 2008 in the meadowlands vs the Giants for the last game ever there. 2011 at NRG stadium vs the Texans and of course this year at BOA vs the Saints. 

 

Congrats to whoever wins and GO Panthers.

My Wife and I are the type who will be standing and shouting all game on D.

I've loved the Panthers since I was a youngin'! i was 5 years old when the Panthers first started playing. I grew up in Roanoke, VA surrounded by Redskins fans. My mother was a Redskins fan and my father was a Rams fan. When I was so young, I started liking the Panthers mainly because I liked the colors and mascot. When I got into 7th grade (2002), I started playing football for the first time, and that is when I first actually started following football and learning about. Naturally, I started paying attention to the Panthers every weekend and fell in love immediately, despite having to follow on my computer usually from NFL.com just seeing the play-by-play since the Panthers were never shown locally. It wasn't long before I became such a die-hard fan and talked non-stop about the team and the backgrounds of all the players that I actually converted both of my parents, and they both root for the Panthers now because of me. After a few years of watching at sports bars or having to listen to the radio (after purchasing the online radio package ofcourse), my parents got DirectTV solely so I could watch the Panthers. 

I have loved sports all my life, yet somehow the Panthers became the only team that I had any attachment too, and the attachment has been very strong. Many people think of me when they think of the Panthers because I am such a die-hard fan in an area where there aren't many Panthers fans at all. In fact, several people I know actually root against the Panthers simply because they find my fandom annoying. 

My car is the Panthers blue, and my license plate says PNTHRS1. Everything about me is Panthers. They are what I look forward to each and every week and it isn't uncommon for the result of the game to affect me for the rest of the week. I cried when players like Delhomme and Mike Minter retired, and I smile at all the heart-warming stories that deal with the Panther's players. I am proud of our team, the character of the players, and the culture that is building.

I often just naturally say "we" or "our" when referring to the Panthers, and people always give me a hard time about it saying that I am not part of the team. While it is true I am not on the team, the Panthers are so important to me that they feel as though they are truly a part of me.

About once or twice a year (some lucky years even more) every year since 2002, I make it down to Charlotte to go see the Panthers play in BOA. I have only been to one away game (2008 regular season finale in New Orleans) and one playoff game (divisional home game against Arizona *sigh*). I would love to make it to another playoff game now, joined by my wife! One thing you can count on to when I'm at a game is that I will be standing and yelling every down on Defense and I will stay until the clock hits 0!

I could go on and on...but TLDR....I LOVE THE PANTHERS!!!! #KeepPounding

      Darrell Jackson would be a fantastic pickup for us, I think he could replace 80% of what A’Shawn gave us last year. With more passing rush upside going forward in the future, I’m a big proponent of large framed defensive tackles. Pairing Derrick Brown with another 6’5 35inch arm length DT would be so fun to watch. Let’s continue being huge in the middle, allow our linebackers to flow to the ball uninterrupted.

      I agree with you on the pick of Thienemen in the first. I think he will still be there and he's a smart, fast and sturdy player. He's who we need back there. In the second, I like Rodriguez over Golday. I agree that off the ball linebackers are desperately needed here, even with our great FA pick up. I think with our third pick, we're going to dip into OT territory instead of the D-line. While I agree that we need another disruptor at the point of attack that is stout enough to just stonewall a center and a guard at the same time, we've got a shaky and expensive O-line at the present that is just about to age out of the game. I think we snag Blake Miller out of Clemson here and give him a year behind Moton to learn and put some weight and strength on. He can also jump right in and play right guard at any time. Also, and this might sound crazy, but anyone who has put up with multiple seasons at Clemson will be able to take the heat and humidity of training camp at the start of the season and early games against the NFCSouth.  Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine. We do need that QB for competition and realistically to study for back-up. Luke Altmyer out of Illinois seems to fit the mold of the point guard type QB that they want from Bryce. That'd make an apples to apples situation that could make coaching and game planning easy. On the other hand North Dakota State's Cole Payton could be an intriguing choice as well as a big dual threat guy. Both could be there for our fourth pick or both could be gone. Will QBs continue to slide this season like last? Who knows?
