Last time Panthers in NFCCG

The following teams gave the Panthers their exit in the playoffs.

Packers in 1996. NFCCG - Kerry Collins did not pose a threat to score.

Patriots in 2003. SB - John Kasay kick out of bounds. (worst)

Seahawks in 2005. NFCCG - All RBs injured going into the game and Smitty tripled all game.

Cardinals in 2008. Divisional - Delhomme interception melt down. End of an era. (runner up)

49ers in 2013. Divisional - Goal line offense and defense could not seal the deal.

Seahawks in 2014. Divisional - handing the Seahawks 14 points on turnovers.

Goes through Carolina in 2015 no matter how much anyone wants to ignore a 16-1 team that scores 30+ points a game on any opponent.

Get ready for a decade of Panthers' dominance!

In an article at NFL.com, I just read something that surprised me:

Quote

The roster's gone through a ton of turnover as GM Dave Gettleman cleaned up the salary cap -- just seven guys that started in the Divisional Round two years ago against San Francisco remain here

Here's the list of 2013 playoff starters.  NFL.com is wrong about the numbers. 9 starters remain.  (Not counting Frank who is on IR )  But still.....

Pretty amazing what DG and the Panthers have done.  Win back-to-back-to-back division championships while totally rebuilding the Oline, the WRs and the secondary.  Incredible

    • 1.   Very doable. The missing angle on this is not entirely Bryce. The receivers since XL… the focus? Good hands with a good hands. Big radius. Bryce came on to throwing very catchable and well placed balls. Tmac and Our RBs have some serious yac ability. If XL keeps up with the big drops especially on 3rd down… he better watch out.    2. There are going to be a ton of defensive breakdowns. 4 wr sets with dudes who catch everything? I wouldn’t be surprised to see it closer to 400/6 3. I guess? I don’t know how this is calculated. His int numbers will get higher once more film is available on him.  4. I’m calling 10 wins on a homer take. Hey, why not.  The knockers need to realize the panthers have never assembled an offense like this so assigning typical I don’t like x QB expectations may need augmentation.
