Why the Cardinals Lost

Arians is a fugging bitch.

Anyone else catch what he said right after halftime?

Apparently he told Erin Andrews that the Panthers were the worst 2nd half team in all of football and if the Cardinals get off to a fast 3rd quarter start, they'll win for sure.

This coming from a team that got fugging owned in the first half.

I had heard about this, but has anyone confirmed that he said that?

Arians is a good coach, his record speaks for itself, but his consistent public arrogance makes me appreciate a guy like Rivera. Confidence is a good thing, but when you're constantly giving teams bulletin board material, it's time to evaluate the approach a bit.

Per Andrews, he did.

I believe it was "the Panther's are the worst second half team in the league, if they can do anything in the first five and a half minutes they'll win this game."

Then they went on to basically do nothing for thirty minutes, and now we are going to the big show lol.

Arians is an unrepentant bullsh--ter and self-promoter. He rarely accepts full responsibility for much of anything. Even when it seems like he is, he really doesn't.

I'm starting to understand why Roethlisberger couldn't stand him (not that he's much better).

Personality-wise, he's basically Gregg Williams without the bounty scandal.

Basic rule that anybody who's ever been in leadership either understands going in or comes to understand from experience: If you're full of bulls--t, the people under you will eventually figure that out.

That's probably why Arians has a history of bouncing around every few years rather than sticking in one place.

See, I'm confused as hell about the whole deal. Az was supposed to be armed with a KILLER secondary, and the sharpest receivers we have seen yet. And their coach was this super-cool gunslinger play caller that could outwit Einstein AND Solomon with his eyes closed. And all of this HAD to be true, 'cuz every "anal-list" in 'murica said so. That ain't what I saw. I smell a rat. Did we really play Az. ?

I'm still just chuckling over Jimmy in the pregame, "HAH! I Got you Howie! I set you up all week long and now I'll get the chance to win the pick'em contest. I pick the Panthers!!"

I think the Panthers did that too.... set up the media, and watched em fall over after the game.

    • I honestly wish Julius Peppers had gotten sick of some of Steve's bullshit and put him on his ass. Because I honestly think that was the one guy Steve wanted no part of.
    • Just worry about it next year.  Its that simple honestly.  its way to early to do what ifs.  I could see us trade/cut chuba and retain dowdle, I could see them let dowdle walk and go with Chuba/Etienne and Brooks, and I could see Dowdle and Chuba both stay and see what happens.  Hell, we still have 6 games left THIS season plus possible post-season...what if Rico or Chuba have an ACL tear or severe injury.  I DO NOT want that to happen, but stuff like that does happen.  Remember RB is the most injury prone position in the NFL due to the beating their bodies take so having some extra guys is never bad, just wish it hadn't come at the cost we paid to get him.
    • I think it’s cool that no one can be really certain what the outcome will be.  That’s a lot of progress! This is a real opportunity for us, I’d be happy with a competitive game and thrilled if we sack up for a W.
