So we have to talk about the gorilla in the room.. hangover or more dominance next season?!

Me personally, I'm somewhere in between.. I will say that I am 100% confident with Cam and Keek locked up for years and Norman getting tagged, gone are the inconsistent days of the Fox/Delhomme era where one year SB, next year bust..

But let's also not ignore that making/winning a SB is extremely taxing both mentally and physically no matter who you are.. Even the Pats, how good they are couldn't even make the SB again this year..

If I had to guess, I say we have at WORST atleast another consecutive NFCC game in us next season, I say we will most likely make the SB again next season but it will be on the back of a 11-5/12-4 record type of season.. Remember, even Josh Norman said weeks ago that this season has been extremely taxing.

So for those that will just blindly bash me.. In other words I am very positive on this team.. No way in hell we have a disappointing, miss the playoffs type season, just no way (barring injuries)

My way too early prediction for next season...is exactly the same as last season.

19-0

I say it goes one of two ways.. A. We finally get our 16-0 and stun the haters that called for a hangover or worst case we "come back down to earth" meaning we "only" finish 11-5 or 12-4.. Either way, great position to be in

You say one of two ways but present 3 possible outcomes.  Not complaining. I find it quite humorous.  Keep this coming.

Jesus fuging Christ we haven't even played the game yet and you're already talking about next season.  I know, I know, I saw the title and the poster and I could have just not clicked it, but you are seriously the most annoying , bipolar poster on this forum, and it's not even close.

Also, it's the elephant in the room, not a fuging gorilla, and it's not even in the room yet, because the rest of us are busy enjoying Superbowl week and the anticipation leading up to the big game, not thinking about the next dumbass thread we can make on the huddle before someone else does.

And Moorgan is right, 19 and mother fuging 0 or GTFO, because every year is our year to go to the big show even when it's not.

    • Option A:  Pay your starting QB starting QB money. Option B:  Look for a starting QB for 4-10 years (or longer) while wasting the talent at every other position.    How many of the top 20 QB's do you think are worth what they are being paid?   When you factor in the last year of his present deal his contract is really an average of 45 million per year which in today's QB market is a very, very good deal. I wish we'd had found a Brock Purdy to pay 50+ million a year right after we parted ways with Cam.  Ya'll go ahead and live in fairy tale land where good to great (much less elite) QB's are available to pay. Just the fact that they had the chance to pay Brock after the disaster of trading up for Lance is a testament that when you find a quarter back you can win with, complete in the playoffs and superbowls with, you pay him.
    • They will still be a playoff team but they aren't contenders anymore IMO. They won't be able to spend like they have when they went to a SB and proved he couldn't carry a win at that level with a really good team around him. Now he is going to have to do it with less to spend around him. They just locked in to being a playoff bound team that's going to be a known speed bump for whoever will represent the NFC in the SB.
    • Hmm. I think he'll live up to it. Last year, about half of his team was on IR it seems, at one time or another. Year before, Super Bowl appearance. Year before that, playoff run after being third on the depth chart and being pressed into service. Is he one of the greatest in the game right now? Nope. No chance of that. Is he in the top 10 going into next season? Pretty good chance of that.  Would 20 or more teams in this league love to have the guy as their starting QB. Most likely so. He's a good QB who can implement his coach's game plan to a T and has both the confidence of and confidence in his teammates. That'll take you a long way in this league if you've got the right cast around you, and he does.
