The Kalil brothers swap info

The Kalils aren’t quite as famous as the Mannings, but brothers Ryan and Matt do plan to follow Peyton and Eli’s lead and spend some time hanging out together at the Super Bowl.

Just don’t expect any in-game television shots of Matt sitting in a luxury suite high atop Levi’s Stadium in Sunday’s Super Bowl 50.

“We don’t have money like the Mannings, so Matt probably won’t be in a box,” joked Ryan, the Panthers’ starting center. “He’ll just have his comp ticket he gets from the Vikings. If he needs more, he’s getting his own tickets. I’m not getting him any tickets. He can afford it.”

Ryan said the two have talked business about the Broncos. The Vikings nearly upset the Broncos in Denver in Week 4. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater completed 27 of 41 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown, but was sacked a season-high seven times, including the strip-sack by safety T.J. Ward that clinched Denver’s 23-20 win in the closing seconds.

“Matt and the Vikings had some experience with Denver,” Ryan said. “So I’ve been picking his brain and asking him some things the last couple weeks. It’s been fun.”

Hadn't seen that story, thanks.  In the sidebar at the Star Tribune, lo and behold, two more articles about Panther players who were once Vikings:

This is pretty funny.

    • What people fail to understand is Lance had a college career that lasted about as long as teenage boys first intercourse.  To say he was raw was an understatement.  So much so that even a QB whisperer had a difficult time molding him into a polished NFL product on top of multiple nagging injuries.  The dud is in his mid-twenties, finally healthy and little miles on the tread.  Low risk, high reward.  If he's available, it would be stupid not to kick the tires.  It took Darnold and Mayfield to hit their 3rd or 4th team for things to finally click.  This is Lance's 3rd stop, I believe.  It's either time for it to click for him or be relegated to a full time backup. Roll the dice....
    • Wrong.  At least we put a QB sneak in the play book and and add plays over 20 yards.
    • I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college  before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
