One team loose and relaxed, the other serious and emotional

Quote

Sal Paolantonio of ESPN reports that Manning became “very emotional” during the Saturday night session with players and coaches.

“Peyton told a few jokes to lighten the mood, but then he got very emotional,” team president Joe Ellis told Paolantonio. “And so did DeMarcus [Ware]. The room was silent. It was a very emotional gathering.”

According to Paolantonio, an unnamed source said that Manning didn’t state that he’ll retire after Super Bowl 50. The source told Paolantonio that Peyton didn’t need to.

It feels like the planets are lining up for Peyton Manning to finish a task that seemed unthinkable only five weeks ago. If it happens, I won’t be one of the many saying, “We should have seen it coming.”

There's no right way to approach the Super Bowl.  This loose vs. tight argument is just media diarrhea.  They bring it up so when the game is over they can write articles saying this team won because they were loose or this team won because they were too loose.

It's looks to me that the Panthers are chomping at the bit to get out there....and still, the only thing anyone can come up with for the Broncos to win is some kind of bullshit magic. It's not fuging happening. Just too much talent on our side of the ball.

Panthers 35

Broncos 10

god i wanna see us physically annihilate them. power hits. hospital hits. i'm over people still saying some bullshit reason we don't win. i want our guys to take the trophy and never give it back. we're here and we ain't leaving.

people wanna see peyton win? what about TD? what about CJ? Allen? Tillman? we got plenty of guys who have never even been to an SB, much less won one. peyton had his time. last time they poo the bed. they don't deserve poo anymore, they can go pack it in and work for it like we have. loading up your team with a bunch of expensive FAs trying to make a dream team so you can try and win the bitch way. WE BUILT THIS TEAM WITH OUR GUYS AND OUR FA's BATTLED TO IMPROVE TO BE PLAYERS ON THIS SQUAD WHEN NO ONE ELSE CARED OR WANTED THEM. WE HAVE BEEN BUILDING AND GROWING AND LEARNING THE HARD WAY TO GET HERE.

sick of denver's sob story they bought an old qb and this is his last game. fug'em. i want blood on this field, i wanna see our guys take what is theirs. Von Miller can go smoke a bowl in a cave all off season to try and cope with the poo we're about to reign down on his ass. sick of hearing about it.

People who believe in stupid poo like destiny and fate will conclude that the Broncos are going to win because it's like the movies and there needs to be a storybook ending to this. In reality everything is happenstance and emotion has very little effect on how the games will play out.

ask Tony Romo and the Cowboys where playing emotionally got them.

As a side note it's amazing how many people actually believe that the NFL is rigging this game so Manning can win.  Aside from people on the internet I've talked to 3 or 4 people in person about the game and they are convinced it's already a done deal and Manning goes out with a Super Bowl...not because they win the game so much as the NFL rigs it so they win the game.

Why would they rig it for Manning to go out a winner?  Manning is near the end of his career.  If they were going to rig it, they'd rig it for the young budding superstar they have in Cam, not the guy who will be doing little to nothing to boost future NFL ratings.

In reality, the NFL is wildly successful no matter what and it'd be idiotic for them to rig a game.  Getting caught rigging a game would be devastating for the league.

I'm sure that Bruce Arians the genius is conspiring with NFL officials in some corner of Levi's Stadium to devise a master plan that will decode our defensive signals as we speak

Thus my "we shall see" comment. :)

Where does it say panthers are loose & relaxed

I believe Panthers are ready to play

It didn't say.

Just going by what I've observed of the team thus far this week.

Oh, and by "loose and relaxed" I do *not* mean in any way to imply that means "not serious about the task at hand".

Hell, they LOST the only game this year that they were NOT "loose and relaxed" so the fact that they are is a damn good thing IMO.
