Saints fan Dat Alice keyboard vomits his cowish opinion

Got a message in my Facebook inbox the morning after the super bowl. I was groggy and hung over, so I didn't read it. I stayed in bed until 2pm watching reruns of The Office and trying to bleed off the depression. Finally, a few hours after Oscar came out as gay and Karen started getting the hots for Jim, I was still morose but actually functional enough to clean the hotel room and pack to leave. I also finally checked my messages.

If you don't know about Dat Alice, read this post in the Huddle Wiki. Nearly four years after getting his poo pushed in over the Saints* bounty scandal, he has yet to get over the personal and emotional trauma suffered at the hands of the Huddle's finest.

But in the end, Dat Alice loses. Dat Alice loses for three reasons:

1) He's documented to be fat and materialistic and therefore lonely

2) Cam Newton came out today and said he's a sore loser, and then proceeded to state that if you can show him a good loser, he'll show you a loser. That's a quote from Vince Motherfuging Lombardi. I got chills when I read that poo. I've been in a weird state of trepidation and pit-gutted doubt for the past 36 hours, unsure about everything. But when Cam said that it all disappeared. It took me 36 hours, but everything I feel for this team and see in its future came rushing back through my veins and into my heart. We're gonna win the division next year (AGAIN) and then we're gonna take another crack at the playoffs.

3) I had the most fun this season I've ever had in my entire life. Seriously, the last six months have centered around Panthers football. I've had more drunken bar revelries, hysterical group photos post-win, spat more fingernails, lost my voice more times, witnessed more historic moments, made more new friends, forged more new traditions than any year in the past. I wanted to win, and nothing replaces that, but god damn if the memories of this season don't come close. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Thanks to everyone who could be a part of it.

oh, and as a consolation prize, my best-selling book about the Panthers' historic season is free on Amazon for the next five days starting tomorrow. you can download it to any device, including your computer or smartphone.

i only ask that you leave a written review after you read it. it'll help me out.

Fifteen and 1: An Unofficial and Unfiltered History of Professional Football in Carolina

Honestly, I wouldn't even give this dude the satisfaction of too much attention.

We know how he is, dude uploads pictures of his calves to other men on the internet for some warped form of validation. What more needs to be said, lol.

this is about us, not him. he is just the vehicle

Lmao the saints aren't even relevant. This dude must be one miserable fug. I was in the same state as you yesterday except mine lasted until about 5:00pm. I didn't even see the sun yesterday.

i only snapped out of it because i had to... i was still in a poo state the rest of the day. i've had a migraine that didn't go away until about an hour ago. i spent last night just quietly playing with my kid and resuming a few projects that i've set aside for the past month during all this.

i didn't truly begin to feel better until i saw cam's lombardi quote. that was a little shot in the arm for me

    • Why are you so fixated on yards? Even if yards were a good judge of QB play, his low yardage totals in some of those games were partly a function of drops (looking at you Xavier Leggette…).  I’m not advocating that Bryce was elite for the last half of last year, but the eye test certainly supported high level QB play for large stretches. He made a lot of high difficulty, put it on the money/drop in the bucket throws. He converted on 3rd and 4th down, kept drives moving, and put the team in position to win games. And it’s not on him that the defense blew it late after he led game tying drives, Leggette dropped a game winning TD, or Chuba fumbled the ball in OT. We could have finished the season close to .500 with wins against 3 playoff teams including KC and Philly during that stretch largely due to Bryce’s play.    Has he sustained this level of play long enough to deserve an higher ranking? No. But for judging based in that stretch alone, he would. But whether he can perform more consistently at that level or build on that, and thus earns a higher ranking, remains to be seen.
    • Totally agree with you, if we had invested in drafting a corner or two I wouldn’t even ponder adding Ramsey. But, to be honest we legit added nobody to our corner room this offseason we have nobody worth developing. Even if Chau Smith Wade is better then what I think, he is the only guy we have invested draft capital into outside of our starters.
    • Look at his snap counts, your telling me that his entire college and pro football career every coach he has had has misused him? No offense but I don’t think you understand the role of a slot corner. Mike Jackson is the literal definition of an outside zone corner, he would be totally inept as a slot corner. Ala why he has been an outside corner his entire career.
