Explaining to her what a nice little lady she is but how she's wrong about Cam Newton and his "type" of people.

No, I'm not going to go into the "type" here because I have absolutely no use for that disgusting word.  The letter is linked in the Tweet in the article.  And though the letter is a jpg/gif, I don't feel comfortable linking it in this forum, so if you can't get to it from the link provided above, I'm sorry.

But some people still want to pretend racism has been wiped from the face of the earth.  Hint:  It hasn't.

I can't even put the words together to comment on this. The part that amazes me the most, is this person wrote this letter to a black woman, I guess thinking that she would agree with them?

Yeah I dont get that.

ive heard that the panthers Twitter was really bad. And the panthers org in general had received some brutally racist poo this past season.

I guess my biggest question, does giving attention to this sort of hate actually help address the issue or would we be better served ignoring it and throwing it in the trash?

The reason I ask is because all season, these garbage letters have only seemed to stoke the fire. What a sad world we live despite all the beauty that surrounds us.

The light of Truth is always the best thing IMO.

Yeah, maybe shining that light on utter scumbags like the one who wrote that letter will just drive him deeper underground.

Good.  Keep driving them deeper and deeper and maybe their dark hearts will stay their and never come back out.

Where is the original article the letter writer is talking about? Not that it really matters, the writer is clearly a racist, but some context could be good, just to ridicule the racist some more.

I looked around the Newsday site and couldn't find anything obvious, so I dunno.
