Underwhelming Combine

I don't think i was being clear, bc i brought up those rare specimens.  My point was, as a whole, this class is underwhelming. There not being one of those freaks is just indicative of it.  The numbers yesterday were some of the lowest on average in the modern era.  There wasn't any one freakish athlete and as an entire group, they were slower than they have been in years.  It feels like every position is like that.

I agree, the interior DL is probably the most impressive when considering size AND explosiveness, but still, less impressive than years past...  and no, that doesn't mean they can't play, but look at guys like Poe, Richardson, etc.

Again, after seeing the fruits of his labor, I trust whomever Gettleman chooses to be the right pick, so that's not a concern.  It's just an observation.

He's definitely on roids right? 8 straight years in high school and college without starting and suddenly he gets like 17 sacks? I call BS

First time he had significant PT was last year.  He was only 200# when he got to PSU.  Lots of kids put on crazy weight when they get in the weight program of a major program.  Nassib is one of those guys who has the frame to do that.  A lot of kids who are that height mature late.

The WR class is awful.  In thw past couple of years, most of the eye popping numbers came out of the WR group.  The RB group performed much better than last year's.  The linemen are never going to put up big numbers in the "sexy" drills.

Speaking about falling...anyone catch that DL that had to fall to the ground post-40 bc his dick popped out of his shorts?  lol

It's totally NSFW but you can search for it.

I mentioned it earlier in this thread, lol.  It was hilarious.  The trainer came up to him and thought he was injured and he laughed at him.  Then, unknowingly, NFLN showed the head-on shot of him running and lo and behold, his junk fell out, he fell to the ground to hide it, and the camera then caught him stuffing it back in his pants lol.  Dumbasses.

I'm sure 3-4 teams are looking at Lawson.  I'm not sure how Gettleman views him.  As we know, guys he sees as 3-4 fits aren't on his draft board.  Personally, I think Lawson compares favorably to Charles Johnson coming into the league.  Very similar height/weight.  Lawson is a little faster, but CJ put up a beastly 33 reps on the bench.  I doubt Lawson posts a number like that, but he has the type of build to put up a great bench number.

This.  It's called work ethic and drive. It's not hard at all to put on 20 pounds in a year in a major college football program.  His current head coach at PSU said he's been one of the biggest gym rats in the program.  The Texans head coach who also coaches watt says he's got possibly the best work ethic and drive than any kid he's coached.  He's a late bloomer who's just getting used to his man body.

not comparing him to Luke but what all Nassibs current and former coaches say sounds very very very similar to what all of Luke's coach's said about him.  Luke wasn't a highly recruited or touted kid either but worked hard to become what he ended up being by his final year
