Ah, the irony...

Quick tip, kid: The insults are only effective if you can actually establish some kind of credibility that you know what you're talking about. You've established just the opposite.

I'm not going to bother trying to explain the salary cap to you because frankly, everything else I've tried to explain you just don't get. And you talking about the real world while you about Madden based scenarios is pretty funny.

Bottom line, kid: The front office knows a lot more than you do. They built a Super Bowl contending team; and in the real world, not in Madden. After all the crap you talked last year, they went out and proved you were completely wrong. So why should I or anyone else take you seriously now?  Maybe you could try learning to trust that somebody other than you actually knows what they're doing, but apparently that's asking too much.

They may well decide to bring in receiver help this year if they feel it's warranted. And given that they know what they're doing, I'm fine with that. I'm also fine if they just stick with what we have because we're getting Benjamin back and what we had last year was enough to get to the Super Bowl.

And no, it won't matter to me whether it's a guy I like or not because, again, I trust that a group who built a team that went 17-2 has some idea what to do, or at least more so than a teenage kid on a message board.

Oy...

Your pretty much reinforcing the yes man that you really are, yes master you can bring in who ever you want and I won't say a negative word. Good god boy have some courage on what you believe.

You see me I don't flip flop I never liked the Cotchery signing, I never changed my stance in needing another legit receiver and I never will until we sign one. Last season proved even more that we need a receiver, Cam was biting his tongue in the press conference trying not to throw his bum receivers under the bus

You keep reaching for the salary cap excuse like its 2013 LOL. Your just a hateful frugal little boy, I check the free agency thread and its you bashing other teams for signing quality FA every other page, it's makes you look like an insecure little girl. I wonder if you were bashing the broncos when they signed all their FA, just come out looking like a complete fool.

Keep on giving the front office credit for Cam doings

"Not flip-flopping" basically just means you aren't willing to admit when you're wrong, even when you've been shown to be multiple times, which makes you look really stupid.

You might wanna look up who had the number one offense in the NFL last year.

Frankly, it sounds like you'd be happier cheering for another team.  But again, the good news for the rest of us is that the front office knows a lot more about football than you do.

Our receivers led the nfl in dropped yards and dropped TD, But I was wrong ROFL.

And we had the number one offense in spite of our receivers, you bringing up are receivers as a reason for us having the number 1 offense is like me saying the patriots won last year SB cause of their running game. We could of had any other teams WR core and Cam still would have wielded  us to the number 1 offense.

it sounds like you keep giving credit to the front office for players doings. Keep tip toeing around the problem though it will just come back to bite us in the ass like in the SB

They built a Super Bowl contender kid, i.e. the second best team in the entire NFL.

You not having the brains to get that isn't really my problem.

We have backups at Qb...and wr.

We have a starter at wr hurtball season ,need more starters. This team has built depth ay wr and other positions, now we need to bring starters in...standing pat, being satisfied is not the attitude to have. Upgrading is needed.

If you truly believe this team is "Satisfied" you are not watching the same team the rest of us are.

And just where are all these starters to come from? We only get so many draft picks, and it is rare for a rookie to be productive right out of the gate. We also are not going to overpay for any FA. Let other teams handcuff themselves doing business that way. It is unreasonable to expect the team to load up on Starters in one off-season.

This team was bereft of talent just 3 years ago. We had a few quality starters, but our depth was atrocious. In 3 years we have upgraded our overall team talent immensely. We still have some spots that can use an upgrade. But we just came off a SuperB owl, and have almost the entire team coming back. Believe it or not. We are looking pretty damm good right now.

Your post has nothing in it to answer your concerns. I realize it is easier to complain that to have a solution. Which is why most post are of the latter ilk. But a complaint without a solution is just a bitch. Quit bitching and throw out a solution.

But, but...we need more starters. If you can't see that....

You are beating your head against a wall. It was funny for a while there. But you should just leave well enough alone. You are trying to teach a troll. It ain't happening. Goober posts for reactions. And he got you good.

Oh, I don't think he's trolling.  I think he's a dumb kid who likes talking as if he knows what's going on but actually doesn't know jack.

You are correct though.  he is a waste of my time.

The kid never has an original thought. He finds a post he can troll. Some folks ignore him. Some folks try to school him. No one has ever gotten through to him. He has never changed his mind over any topic. Once he throws out his thoughts, he is sticking to it. You have to give him some credit for his sitcktoitedness. Once he finds a bone, he ain't letting it go for nothing.

I respect your effort. I was rooting for you. But at the end of the day. You never had a chance.

Oh sure you can. But only if stupid is willing to learn. Is stupid just too stupid. Or is there hope. The problem is; You just never know which one it is going to be.

I do admire your patience. I could never go through the process like you. I usually give it a few tries, then make the decision to continue, or to give up. You are willing to go the distance. Must be the coach in you. Never leave a kid behind sort of mentality.

    • I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.
    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
