why haven't we gotten to the point where we can't vote from home or online or sumthin.. why do we have to still do this like it is the 60s?

Because most politicians want people who still live in the 60s to be the ones mainly voting. The last thing they want are tech savvy younger people having a say.

Do you really trust the government to be able to have an online voting system that can't be hacked? Putting that type of thing online would be a horrible idea. Not saying the system is perfect and not able to be abused the way it is now, but putting it online would make manipulating the system so much easier.

As to your comment about younger tech savvy people not having a say, I would think they would just as capable, if not more so, of making it to the polling place as anyone else.

The ability to vote and have a say in your government is a sacred and rare privilege in this world and probably should require some effort on our part to take part in.

The idea of voting and being a part of the democratic process is awesome in theory, but I'm so put-off by every single politician that I don't even care anymore. I don't much care for Bernie, can't stand Hillary, Trump already basically has the republican nomination and I'm hesitant to vote for him because he may be the cause of world war 3 in the future.

Slim pickins basically.

It's like picking who you want to win the Super Bowl when the championship games are Steelers vs Patriots and Cowboys vs Seahawks. There is no good option.

It's not sacred nor is it rare nor is it a privilege.  Voting is a right. Whether it's online or at the polling place. It's still done electronically and can still be abused regardless. Not that your vote counts for anything anyway as the popular vote means nothing in the process. Super delegates and the electoral college ensure that the popular vote means jack poo.

I'm a bern fan for sure but I agree. It's trumps to lose, which is scary. And Hillary drives me nuts. Should be a fun 4-8 years coming up.

In kasich you missed it, i cruzed into the voting booth this morning and marco'd my ballot. Saw a $2B bond and trumped that nonsense wishing I could bern that portion of my ballot. Love being able to vote. Hillary sucks.

I think you are doing your part by not voting. If the game is broken, quit playing. I wish everyone would come to an agreement to just not vote one year. Send the message that the system is not working and that the people are tired of it.

That said, I'm probably going to vote at lunch...but like many it is more because I really don't like certain candidates and not because I think there is a candidate that I trust to represent me - which is part of the problem.

oh, and I heard Donald Trump, Vontaze Burfict, Scott Fujita, and Gregg Williams all hang out on the weekends.

I already voted in MA. The system's working fine it's the people that are broken.

Have you seen what the Huddle does to online voting?
Cam would be president and have to quit football.

That is asinine.  Why such an arbitrary number of days?  Why does it matter?  You could change your mind in that amount of time.  Candidates could drop out... Etc etc.

Basically it is one month, because February had twenty-nine days that was the amount of time I had this year.  You must be registered for at least one month to vote.

I basically had to judge who was dropping out or going to drop out to decide which party to vote in.  Luckily (well sadly) the one guy I really like dropped before the day I had to decide so my decision was easy.

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
