We have a poo ton of kids whose 2nd contracts are coming up. Things are going to get real fun up in here. Cuz there ain't no way Gman can keep everybody. We are going to start losing some of our talent in the coming years. The drawback of how Gman operates is the fact we have more talent than money.

I can think of a lot worse drawbacks.

Norv isn't an nimrod like you or the other mouth breather hes willing to change his philosphy based on personnel.

Once Norv took over the Chargers LTs carries went WAY down, he got rid of Micheal Turner and used Sproles instead, so this whole he loves the power running it's a load of crock. He got rid of a the Lorenzo Neal or any real FB to use Tolbert instead.

Like ive already stated he didn't run a vertical pass game in Minnesota, if you want you can review the tape.

but if it helps you sleep at night

Incorrect. LT had 315 and 292 carries in 07 and 08 under Turner, dropping to 223 in 09 but also missing 2 games due to injury. He was with the Jets in 2010.

Also, Tolbert was used a bit as an FB his rookie year but was an HB/powerback in SD - Neal left following the 2007 season and was replaced by Jacob Hester as the 'prototypical' FB in 2008, and Hester stayed as SD's FB until 2011. LeRon McClain was Turner's FB in 2012, but Tolbert was already with Carolina at that point.

So, let's take a look at what Gman has coming down the pike.

Next year: KK. If he has a good year? How much is he going to cost? 10+mil for sure. Stah's 5th year tender is going to cost over 8mil. I think. So he has almost 18mil next year just in those 2. We are at about 18mil right now.

Then the year after he has Shaq and Trai. With maybe Norwell, Remmers, Williams, Bene', and Boston. He is going to need a good chunk of change to deal with all these guys.

Then there is KB. How much is he going to merit? And Fun FUn? Or guys like Brown, McClain, and Mayo?

We have a poo ton of kids whose 2nd contracts are coming up. Things are going to get real fun up in here. Cuz there ain't no way Gman can keep everybody. Big name FA are just not in our budget. Sooo sorry Gooby

this is gonna fall on deaf ears because defensive players demonstrably don't matter at all to the "wahhh weapons" people.

so long as we have the most badass stacked WR corps on the planet (on paper at least) they'll be happy.

They'd be happier as Colt fans.  That's a team where the GM wants to go eight men deep at receiver and not worry about the defense.

I've already said the receivers were the main reason we lost the SB, so yes I give them the most blame

But when we don't want to improve arguably the worst receiving core in the nfl for the sake of being cheap I'm gonna say something. You can be a coward all you want I really don't give a fug, this whole we can't question the front office is the most gutless sht I've ever heard.

How would you fix it, and break down the exact salary cap implications, who you would bring in, and what players in the future you can't keep because of your genius move?

Anyone can question the front office, especially dumb people who say, when backed into a corner as to how they would fix it, "well that ain't my job".  That's the rub, you and the others like you don't go into that much detail, you just want to surround Cam with "weapons" and forget what it takes to win football games.

Again, you don't understand salary cap football.

Lemme acquaint you with the extreme depth of stupidity that you're dealing with here, Fuzzy.

Numbskull has already stated that even if we win a Super Bowl, he'll still be upset about it if we do so without signing guys he wants.

A football fan being unhappy about his team winning the Super Bowl... Can't get much dumber than that.

I suppose it's possible that at some point in the long history of this board there may have been more ignorant statements made, but I've been here since the beginning and I can't think of one (which is pretty crazy when you consider that we've had Falcon fans on here).

Oh, I have figured out that he is a complete fool when it comes to football decisions, but there isn't a shortage of that around here.  I'm always for upgrading the roster, but not at the cost of future seasons, especially when we have a young MVP QB at the helm.

Were we in Manning's, Brady's, or Brees' spot....hell yea, go all out for it, but in the end it bites them as well.  The Saints are in absolute trouble, Denver can't find a QB, and you know what that means, and the Pats....well they just don't go out and spend crazy money and give free agents long term, team hurting deals.

I want to be consistent, not a flash in the pan, but to each his own.

Maybe they just want to be able to draft more than Cam and Olsen on their fantasy leagues?

I don't understand it honestly.

what's funny is that-and i'm going off memory here-if gettleman drafts a wide receiver in either of the first two rounds of this year's draft while the colts don't, he will have spent as many 1st/2nd round picks on wide receivers as the colts have since 2013.  grigson might legitimately be dragged out into the street and beaten by colts fans if he drafts another wide receiver high anyway but that's beyond the point.

of course i'd have no problem at all with gettleman taking a mid/late-round flyer on an emmanuel sanders type who lacks prototypical size but is a major vertical threat.  or even drafting someone in the top two rounds if the right fit is there given our draft board.  but, our WR corps is by no means pathetic and i don't think we need to be desperately hunting for starters.

Actually I'm pretty much dead on before Norv took over he had 339 and 348 carries the two previous seasons then it kept going down hill for LT in 09 he had the least amount of carries per game he has ever had since being drafted

Wait wait wait you think Jacob Hester was a prototypical full back? Wow

My point still stands the Vikings offense was the complete opposite of ours

Oh I understand quite well, this season he had and still have more than enough cap space to have signed a quality reviever someone like Travis Benjamin or Mike Wallace would made sense both guys not asking for much. But much like mouth breather over there your just not willing to change your hinges, mouth breather said Wallace wasn't gonna get signed ended up getting signed by who many consider the smartest GM in the nfl. Last season I wanted Crabtree who was only asking for 3 mill a year mouth breather said he was done, Crabtree goes on to have a career year with a second year QB.

You see he has his agenda that whatever DG says is right and every other nfl team is wrong, if you even dare to say I want a reviever in free agency mouth breather will respond in a heartbeat, regurgitating the same nonsense.

Every other fan base can see our weakness is reviever I wanted to address through  free agency, It's that simple. No one is asking to take on Calvin Johnsons contract

Well then, this ought to be an easy question for you to answer.

Is the Vikings offense most similar to that of the Chiefs, the Broncos or the Packers?

How many points per game did we score last year?

Do we have a 1st round WR coming back this season that had 1000 yards and 9 TD's as a rookie?

Mike Wallace is a locker room cancer, why the hell would you bring him in here?

at least we get the gift of mike wallace and smitty sharing a locker room in 2016.  that should be entertaining.

Pretty much.

Again, dimwit doesn't care iff we have a losing season as long as we sign this one guy he likes.

I gave him credit for being 13 or 14, but I'm thinking I might have to downgrade him to the 10 to 12 range based on recent comments.
