I work in the financial industry.  Personally, I don't give a fug if a person has filed a bankruptcy in his life as long as that person has turned their life around.

You know who DOES give a fug about whether a person has filed a bankruptcy in his life during the interview/hire process?  The financial industry.

You want to work in a particular industry?  You want them to give you a job and pay you money?  Maybe you ought to do what that industry requires for you to work for them.

We're talking about a sport where grown men get drunk just to watch a bunch of other men bash each others heads in.

We aren't talking about the financial industry.

I'll ask it again. What's more important?

read this and did a double take. . . What team won the SB after Katrina? Twin Towers?

seriously, you dont think the American public is swayed by pro sports? How important is it you say?

Men compete, if not at that then they will choose something else, which do you think will be healthier: Cheering on other men that they can relate too, or starting some fights wherever they can?

His judgement is the problem.

Whether or not you think weed should be legal doesn't matter much. The reality for Gordon is that he knew using could cost him millions of dollars and a career yet he chose to do so anyway... repeatedly.

This guy has issues.

I'd be interested to see how many of the people making a huge deal out of this also tried their best to blame Nicole Holder and paint her as a gold digger for what happened with Hardy back when he still played here. Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

The weed rules are dumb but if you can't choose a successful career over weed you gotta have issues.

On top of that he could at least not get caught. Take a long vacation and smoke weed there. It'll be out of your system by the time you get back.

he's got bigger problems. The weed is just a symptom.

Not defending his judgement. Already covered that.

But I cannot get behind all this outrage over Marijuana to the point that we're just suspending this guy for a year over and over yet guys like Ray Rice only get suspended two games for beating his wife unconscious.

The whole thing stinks. If you claim moral superiority over one thing but not domestic violence or player safety then it's just white noise. That's what I'm getting at.
