I miss the old Radiohead, with the booming guitars.   I kept waiting for it on that new song.  It's not bad, but, I miss it.

Actually I really like it, on 2nd/3rd listen but I still keep waiting for some nice guitars lol.

You've gotta factor in they're probably leading people into the new album.  This is the most anticipated I've been since In Rainbows.  I think this will be back towards an IR/Hail to the Thief type aesthetic which I'm quite interested in.

Ready for a lush Ed O'Brien solo to come firing in haha.

"waaaahhh, their new stuff doesn't sound anything like their radio hits from 20 years ago!"

FYI, Thom Yorke hates the majority of songs you just posted. They are radio singles that made them famous, but that's not what Yorke is about. Their music evolves with time and anything they touch is gold. Thom Yorke does not want to be on the radio anymore, he writes music that he enjoys while pushing new boundaries. It's about story telling, expression and beautiful music.

Nobody gives a poo about what boundaries he wants to push.  That new song is awful and no amount of elitist douchebaggery will persuade me otherwise.

He likes Seether...bc Shinedown can be a bit too edgy....

I like a wide variety of stuff from just about every genre you could think of...being edgy has nothing to do with anything unless you're 12 years old.

Radiohead always sounded like a newer Pink Floyd that was about to, at any moment, break out into a heavy rock part but never really did.

They got famous from their singles, but never really wanted to keep doing them. It comes off as highly pretentious, and somewhat arrogant tbqh.

Obviously they are good at what they do, and set the stage for more modern acts that are of the similar vein, but I just never really got it. It just comes across as emotionless or soulless...

never fear, huddlers, Musical Elitist is here...

The second song is a perfect example of what I was talking about before... It is a cinematic build up track that never climaxes. This first song was actually likable... but the second one just reeks of "I'm not a musician I am an artist revel in my art" pretentiousness...

Now I remember why I don't talk about music with huddlers.

It's the same with most things, really. If you love anything from music, to movies, to tv shows, most of the Huddle will be shitting on it.

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
