I have a serious question, How can they cut 2 TE and sign 2  WR when they have had no practice yet? I am guessing they have classroom work and if they cant learn "X" amount of plays in a certain timeframe they are gone?

They put those guys through the paces in all respects.

The Panthers were probably going to keep only two TEs max anyway (which probably includes cutting Dickson if they actually roster two), so why fake it? They probably figure that Sandland may be the real deal, got a pleasant surprise by Deaver, and thought that Mucas (not to mention Rockhead) had better upside than either McGee or Bonnet. Getty is just handling his business.

Yeah, both Oher and Remmers are playing well, but I don't see any team giving either a jackpot payday to get them away from us. As a restricted FA if someone had REALLY wanted Remmers this year, they could have taken him (though it would have taken a 2nd round pick beacuse that was the tender on him if memory serves). So obviously no team in the league considers Remmers worth a 2nd rounder or they would have signed him this year.

And I can't imagine anything but maybe HUGE money tearing Oher away from Matsko again.

Gettleman just may double-dip at OT if he considers the draft pool deep in OT talent. But I guarantee you he won't if he doesn't. If its a very very shallow well of OT talent, he probably wouldn't draft an OT at all if we're still picking at the bottom of every round.

Teams don't give away draft pick unless you have sure talent and other teams not giving them big contracts would speaks to the volume of talent our OT's have which is average (Williams will be a stud at RT but everyone else is JAG) . We are picking at the bottom of every round but DG is wiling to trade up for the right prospect and we have good depth at most position so its not like we need to draft 7-8 guys. Every playoff game we lost was due to poor performance by OL and it want be solved until we invest in good talent. People bring up the argument that pass rushers wins game but fail to mention that other teams  also have this "top notch pass rushers"  how are we going to counter that ?

2013: Multiple goal line stand by 49ers

2014: Bell & Chandler got bitch slapped by Seattles DEs

2015: Remmers & Oher getting owned by Denver also Atl game. (If Remmers would have held up in couple of downs SB50 would have been Panthers)

Good Tackles are like good QBs. There just are not to go around. If you think that we can just stockpile them...

Sure I would love to have 4 good/decent OTs, but I also am realistic enough to know that EVERY team would love to be in that position. And damm, it ain't happening anywhere else, but we should be the one team that can do it? C'mon men.

The fact that we have THREE (at least IMO) is pretty amazing.

Per PFT, Bonnet is a Bengal (link)

Quote

The Bengals also announced the signing of undrafted rookie fullback Andrew Bonnet, who signed with the Panthers after the draft and was released last week. To make room on the roster for Bonnet, kicker Jonathan Brown was waived-injured.
