1. Aaron Rodgers, QB Packers

2. J.J. Watt, DE Texans

3. Tom Brady, QB Patriots

4. Aaron Donald, DT Rams

5. Khalil Mack, LB Raiders

6. Rob Gronkowski, TE Patriots

7. Luke Kuechly, LB Panthers

Kuechly has established himself as the best middle linebacker in the league, and he’s constantly evolving his game. His instincts have always been top notch and, over the last few years, his blitzing and pass coverage has steadily improved.

13. Cam Newton, QB Panthers

Even after an MVP season, people are still sleeping on Newton’s quarterbacking skills. Yes, he’s the biggest run threat at the position, but he’s much more than that. Newton is excellent in the pocket, comfortable working through his progressions and one of the best and most active quarterbacks before the snap. He puts all of those skills on display here:

Meh.  Not going to post the link.

Bleh. MVP season with no receivers at the time whatsoever, and still went 15-1 with the whole offense on his shoulders. Cam doesn't make it to the top 10 in most of these rankings. But Rodgers somehow still manages to get to the tippy top. If I remember correctly, his season last year wasn't the most stellar for him at all. But oh well.

When Cam makes his MVP season this year look like child's play next year, the media pundits will still manage to find some silly excuse as to why he's not the clear number 1. It's their job after all.

Still don't know how Donald and Mack are ranked ahead of Luke.......        Both are basically one year wonders,  and do not deserve to be ahead of someone like Luke,  that has been at the top of his position since he came into the league.

That is the logic most are using when it comes to not including Cam in the top 10 of these insignificant lists.         Oh well,  at least these lists offer up some form of a talking point.

Im guessing their sack #s is whats pushing them so high.  The media loves SACKS.

Come the fug on bro #13?

Cam doesn't have to be the best "QB" in the game yet to be the best "player". Those are two different things .

I mean they put overrated piece of poo Drew Brees at #9. What in the actual fug?

Connor Orr step on down bro

Cam had a MVP season (15-1) wjth a Super Bowl run with weak WRs and weak OT in a vertical offense.  No other QB in the NFL could of done that because no other QB physical could of survived and made it work.

13?....smh

I like how the author praises Cam as unrecognized for his greatness and still puts him at 13. What bullshit.

It's like the media had a mindwipe to the things Cam did last season.

It's a mindwipe of the last 5 years. Let's face it, Cam is going to have to prove himself every year.

Pretty stupid article, attempting to rank players based on how they'll be in 2016 before training camp.

For the record, there are 6 Panthers on the list:

Luke #7

Cam #13

KK #23

Kalil #52

TD #60

Greg #65

[for the curious: J-No ranked at #67]

no Stewart or Turner even though they were pro-bowlers in 2015.
